Creepy Resident Evil Merchant from RE4 for Brawl.

He doesn't need to be in as a playable charcter per say, but is better than Tom Nook and should be the keeper of a store that sells the unlockable, trophies and extras, whatever else Brawl might have for sale.

There were multiple ones of him and he couldn't sell goods if he only made it on as a shop keeper. I like the Dual blade chainsaw weilder better anyway.

He would have to respwn though so you can kill him multiple times. For some reason his death is oh so satisfying and should be experianced a multitude of times.

I don't think he can even speak english. Most of the enemies (not Major ones) in the game can't.

They do say Lord Saddler sometimes which is English as they die, but that only happens after you beat the game once. Also I've seen him wearing Wesker's glasses once which happens after you beat the game once at a random probability, but I didn't think it was possible for him to have them on what with the bag and all.

This gives me an idea. If there is a merchant or a store in the game, how about you can choose what merchant character you want to buy from in the options menu. The choices would be:

RE4 merchant (If capcom has a representative)
Roll or That green guy who trades you Bolts for equipment(If Capcom's rep is Megaman)
Toad/Toadsworth/Toadette (Though Toad MUST BE PLAYABLE)
Happy Mask Salesman (Or his contemporary from TP)
Nurse Joy (For some Pokemon love)
Otacon (For Metal gear fans)
Mr. Saturn (For Earthbound love)
Whoever sells you things in Fire Emblem
Cranky Kong (Or whatever Kong you want)
Waddle Dee (For Kirby fans)
A Warioware character
Doc Louis (If Little Mac gets in)
Adam (The computer from Metroid Fusion)
Etc.

Basically, Nintendo could throw in any character who ever had a secondary role in a video game ever. I would totally let Otacon sell me things.

The green guy from Megaman is Auto and if Megaman does get in it will probably be the X version ashe is more recent so it would be Aile. Also it should be the armory salesman from the FE series and not the item vendor the armory guy is much cooler.

Me too, but it might be interesting if they did, but I am still for the RE4 merchant 100% for the merchant if there is only one. RE evil is a good series and this would be a way to represent the series if they didn't want a playable character from the series in it.

Why not? Coding a 3D model or doing a 2D picture for a new merchant is easy, it's just all the coding moves and buttons and specials that are hard for Playable Characters. They could probably do quite a few merchants in the same amount of time it takes to do one Playable character. In Jump Superstars, they let you choose your own announcer/host for the game (You see his face in the top screen as you navigate the menus) and they have tons of characters in the list.

With it they could let you choose what character reads the menu and announces matches and things. Imagine the RE4 merchant going "Round 1, FIGHT! ... Stranger"

I wouldnt mind them having multiple merchants that way everyone would be happy. I think it would be cool because if you get bored of one of them you can change it. Just dont think they would take the time for this. If they do Im all for it.

Now that I think about it most if not all of the series should be represented by a merchant(if of course you buy the unlockables). Though if only one merchant is in it then it should be the Creepy merchant in RE4.
