When i get hit by docs normal A sliding attack I go flying into the air and I'm paralyzed enough for him to wait for me to come from the air and then hits me with a down A break dance attack to my doom. Doc's attacks on fox send fox so far even at low percents, is there anyway i can unparalyze myself while in the air when i get hit with the sliding attack. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

It won't get you unparalyzed but DI can save you =p

The reason why he's able to d-smash you out of the dash attack is because of Fox's natural fast fall, which makes it hard for you to recover and get out of the way before he hits you.

By DI'ing the dash attack (like stated above), you may just be able to escape the range of the d-smash.

You can try smashing the stick left and right. It works on some stuns.

By DI'ing you mean hold the control in the opposite direction while geting hit right? If so I always do that on instinct and it never really seems to work.

Usually, DI'ing isn't just about holding the control stick in the oppostite direction. For example; say you get f-smashed by a Fox. What you would do is hold the control stick towards the direction you're going, and up at the same time. Why? You ask? Well, the corner blast zones on stages are much farther away, so DI'ing into the corner may give you a better chance of survival. I suggest reading a DI guide.

Corner blast zones? So your saying if i get hit to the left for example hold the control stick diagonal left up? Oh, I did recently read http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=60218. Didnt really help me understand the concept very well.

If you get hit left hold right and up. Easier said than done.

You mean against the way you are going. If you are thrown to the right in a high % attempt at a blastline KO, you should never DI right and up, but rather LEFT and up. In general up and against the attack is the way to DI, unless its a throw not intended to kill, the move sends you up, or you need some breathing room (break a combo by DIing out of it).

Anyways good DI comes with practice.

You want to DI perpendicular to the direction you're going. So if you get hit and fly to the left, you DI up and to the right. This also works in reverse: if you get hit straight up, DI left or right and you'll move a bit in that direction, just out of range of the D-Smash.

Yeah thats the prblem, he just walks forward alittle to make sure i get hit after sending me up. But I've apparently been DI'ing for years because I always hold the joystick away from my opponent when he does that attack to move alittle in the air. I can tech out of it sometimes, but usually he hits me before I reach the ground to tech. I'm starting to think Dr. Mario can always get that combo off with fox.

Not sure if this'll work, but you can also try DI'ing downwards and teching (at low percentages) or DI'ing upwards and jumping out (at slightly higher percentages).

There are a few ways to avoid his slide either if you have time wavedash back twice and catch him with either a grab or some sort of smash maybe otherwise again if you have time air dodge sidestep or of course try and build distance with a DI otherwise tech towards him most people dont expect that most expect a tech away so they will run past you.

no need to wavedash twice, just one perfect wavedash should do it.
