Well let's see... first off, don't feel so bad about losing, Shiek really owns Link. That being said, here's some stuff you could work on.

Try not to impulsively double jump all the time... I know it must be a hard habit to break, but if you get kncoked off of the stage in midair, you wouldn't have a double jump to recover.

Instead of double jumping, try to short hop projectile. it really helps with spacing and it keeps you moving so you're harder to hit.

Also, try to not use the spin too much... especially when your opponent is at low %. It's got some start up time and the lag could be devestating, esepecially against fast chars like Shiek.

All in all, it's a pretty decent Link. Just keep on practicing.

yeah you do not have a bad link at all. I hate sheik myself so, it's not like its a fair matchup. Just watch double jumps, i have the same problem myself, and my opponent always punishes me for using my double jump, cuz i can't use it off the stage. good use of forward tilt though, I like when sheik is above you and you use it. good stuff.

Your Link needs a lot of work...........but I think you can become good with him.

1. STOP double jumping so much! STOP STOP STOP................there is a place for it but you do it way too often and it leaves you wide open in the air.
2. Learn to SHFFL............this is THE most important advanced technique in the game and one of the hardest to master, without it you are at a severe disadvantage. Shorthop............fastfall...........L-cancel. If you don't already do so, using the C-stick can help with SHFFL, go into VS mode with a lvl 1 CP who won't harass you or a friend and practice, practice, practice L-cancelling Link's down-air. Training mode is bad for practice if you use the C-stick, so use VS mode. Once you start getting it, try short hopping and then fastfalling into an aerial attack (Link's forward air is a great SHFFL) and L-cancel it.
3. Don't spam Spin Attack! This move should be used rarely and usually only if you are 90% sure it will connect.
4. Be careful when you grab! Link has one of the slowest grabs in the game, like the spin, be sure you will land the grab.........learn to shieldgrab and jump cancel grab. I never even use Z, I always hit R and A together except in certain situations like jump cancels or chainthrows.
5. Use WAY more aerials..........neutral air is great, forward air is great, all of Link's aerial are good!
6. Careful with throwing boomerangs while you have one out, its easy to do but try to keep track of when its out and when you've got it back. Also, shorthop and aim the boomerang down at close range for max. damage...........always try to aim it so it will return quickly unless you want it to loop around and then come back when they don't expect it.

If you do all of this, I guarantee you will have a pretty good Link.
