As you can see... i'm not really a good fox :laugh: Anyone have any tips for me?

ok
first of all your appear to run away alot... dont hang back and spam lasers as youll only get hit (atleast shffl them)
remember you can shield when you see an attck coming rather than spotdodging and hoping it works...

now on your approach...

i see 4 simple ways for the fox approach (ie to start a combo) ;

1 oldschool dash attack; these can be followed up by u tilts after you push past the oppenents shield (this often takes advantage of those in the shield grab habit).

2 short hop nuetral air ; just plain nifty

3 grab ; followed by u airs like a women or back airs for heavier characters..

4 and finally crouch canceled up smashes ; they rule... and will screw absolutly everyone.
just dash and crouch usmash in VERY quick succession (almost at the same time)

finally dont try and waveshine if you just plain cant and STOP ROLLING AWAY not only do you look plain woussy but you can easily be chased and grabbed... i know it is sometimes reflexive but if you feel assualted just hold the shield and grab at the right time... striking and running/rolling away just doesnt work and is one of my own pet hates:

be fast and aggressive... never give your opponent space to breathe and you will not only gain a psychological advantage but will WIN!

hope the comments help and well done for taking on one of the most challenging characters...
eventualy when all this becomes second nature tryout movement tricks and mindgimes to freak out the opponent and take the advantage

drill -->waveshine works well, practice waveshining

Use advance techniques.

learn to edge guard. a few times u hit him off the stage and instead of edge guarding u stood on the other side of the stage and fired lasers... and also practice your waveshining, you HAD him at that one time but u messed it up T_T

:D thanks everyone... Oh yeah... Now all he does is shield grab... like the WHOLE time... Watch should i do with shields other than l cancel and grab?

l cancel all airiels and shine after (then you can lead into waveshine combos ^_^)

or you can land all your airiels behind him

Shine combo is the key to defeat a Link, practice shine combos

if he is sheildgrabbing everything then grab everything

if you see a shield grab it,... simple as that.
o and pay attention to my first post as you can push past the shield with your dash attack and then punish him with u tilts...

Y were i being so defensive with fox links slow as hell compared 2 you and you sidestep 2 much
its not a bad move when its done at a minimal amount but it seems like you would rather sidestep then hold your shield and thats how you will get punished
