View Full Version : Teching out of fox/falco's Dthrow

Hi, i'm having a little problem with my fox. I play my brother who uses falco, and he uses Dthrow > Dsmash combo on me often. I'm confused because with all other characters, i am EASILY able to tech roll out of his Dthrow before his Dsmash lands. But with fox, it simply does nothing when i hit R/L. This is costing me many stocks, so i need help!

So:
Is it possible to tech roll out of a falco Dthrow as fox? If not, is it possible to smash DI downwards and hit R/L to do a normal tech (without rolling)?

you just need to learn the timing. go to training mode. faclo's dthrow is techable in PAL versoins

Unless you have a PAL version of SSBM, there won't be any way you can tech out of your brother's d-throws, however the second after you hit the ground you can shine, which will knock him away. You can also shield.

well technically at fairly high percents (100+) after fox gets thrown back from the dthrow he can tech that but not the throw itself unlike most characters but no fox cant tech the dthrow in NTSC just DI,shield(only to get grabbed again lol) shine jab jump dash walk etc

i don't recommend shielding cuz you can get grabbed again, unless you roll or something

edit: can you grab falco before he grabs you again after a dthrow?

Against Fox's d-throw: just hold left or right, and you'll roll out of the throw. I tested this by having my bro hold right while I try a d-throw to u-smash combo (without using L or R.

I think it's the same with Falco's d-throw, just make sure you press left/right as soon as you get grabbed.

what i usually do when falco starts chaingrabbing my fox is shine i get him off most of the time and falcos Dthrow can chaingrab fox... And only fox

it's still very easy to get out of though. you might get 2-3 throws max while they're not expecting it
