Falco's Pillaring

hey everyone. just wanted to know if anyone here knows the timing for teching Falco's pillaring. i know you can just roll away, but i would still like to know any other way or ideas some of you may have because that move is a pain for Link. help is greatly appreciated.

What do u mean by timing?
The best way to avoid the move is a combination of good reflexes, such as spot dodging and shielding. The A+A+A combo comes in handy is u need to space things out while canceling most of falco´s attacks.
This is the easy part, avoiding laser spam makes things much harder for link.

i really don't think you can tech out of falco's pillar since he sends you up too fast and he falls faster than you do. my advice is to mix it up w/ aerials (especially nairs, cuz those hit everywhere) or try to have a bomb out, so that you can either throw it or let it explode and DI yourself off of it. other than that, just... try not to let it happen.

Tech as soon as you're spiked. There's not much advice to give. Just hope the player screws up or you can DI well enough to escape. :crazy:

For those who don't know:

Pillaring is when a Falco spikes you onto the stage and Fast Falls to a Shine to propell you into the air where he spikes you again. The player repeats this because it is hard to get out of and can rack up a lot of damage.

Characters can grab and roll during Falco's Pillar.

lol. thanks man. this sig holds the three characters i main in smash, Link being first, Ganon 2nd and Sheik third. lets just say the skills with Zelda havent proved themselves lately.
