i was just wondering which u guys used, and what the pros and cons are. this is what im thinking:
DC:
relitively easier
maybe slightly slower
JC:
a bit harder (have under 4 frames of error)
slightly faster

during the initial dash animation, you cannot crouch cancel, therefore you cannot DC usmash, only JC usmash.
I'd suggest you learn to JC usmash, it has more uses:
out of sheild jc usmash, out of shine jc usmash. It gives you more freedom to usmash whenever and whereever

I just run and press Up and A at the same time. I've been doing this for years since ssb64 and never noticed I was jump canceling. It's way easier then actually jumping and pressing up on the c stick (which most people do, I have no clue why).

yea i know, i suck at doing both though lol. ezier to do DC for me.
btw i do the same thing NJ, but 1/2 the time i end up in a dash attack still, 49% of the time i end up in a uair, and the other 1% of the time i actually get the smash >_<

JC upsmash is better.

only advantage I'd see to DC would be if you were maybe expecting somehow to get hit by a weak attack, then you could crouch-cancel and then go into the usmash.
otherwise, JC ftw.

the JC one is better because it is faster and easier. I just do a regular up-smash as if I wasnt running. Anyway, the JC one would also do more damage than the DC if you did both in the same amount of time because of charging.

the damage difference is incorrect

I meant if you id it JCed, if you spent the time you saved charging an up-smash, it would probably do more damage and produce more knockback since it is slightly charged too. Of course, if you can DC quickly then it doesnt really matter.
Actually, you can use the C-stick and then it would be the same.
