Up-B to edgehog...........?????

I've seen a few vids of Link and Y. Link players doing a spin attack on the edge and then instantly edgehogging............how do you do this? I know its not all that useful but I like to learn all the tricks for fun...........can anybody tell me how to do it?

actually it comes in handy when you have no time to turn and jump/ wavedash back off the ledge.

to do it, you need to run or walk towards the ledge and as soon as you are about to fall off, you Up B. the timing is just like the Sheik vanish to ledgehog, and just like it, you need to DI towards the stage or else you will SD.

No, I found out not to long ago you don't need to DI torwards the stage actually. The only way you SD is if you mistime the Up B and press it too late. It's better with YLink since it pops the oppenent up for a aerial. With Link, it just pushes them aside :(
You can also try this out on stages with platforms (just Up B right before you run of the platform)- it's pretty cool >.> I don't no any super useful strats, but again, it's still better with ylink.

It's a very fun and useful thing to do, but if you're not confident you can do it 100%, do a full jump and throw a boomerang towards the middle of the stage, the fall and grab the ledge. Same thing works with a bomb. This takes about the same amount of time as the spinhog.

I only do the bomb or boomerang thing when I'm playing on laggy TVs... which is alot, since most of the tournaments around here are on HDTVs.

Edit: Tried it out......its pretty cool but somewhat difficult to do every time. It is a little easier with Y. Link because his traction is lower so he slides easier. Nice to learn another little trick, I'm surprised it isn't in any guides or anything..........it's fun.
