D-throw to >b

why?

variety, looks flashy, mindgames, uncounterable, more options/harder for them to predict you, etc.

I'll explain how it works:

D-throw, then during the throw, just pick a direction and at the end of the throw >b, and you'll gain a bit of an advantage no matter what they do:

(for these examples, I'll assume that you >b to the left)

If they techroll left, free damage, then you can continue with another combo
If they techroll right, you'll gain some good distance to laser spam from
If they don't tech, you'll hit them, AND gain some distance to laser spam

I don't know yet what happens if they tech on the spot without moving. Perhaps someone can test that part out for me.

why not just do something useful instead?
this isnt new, its called a tech chase.
plus, they can tech the side-B too, or just not tech and DI the dthrow down so they lay on the ground and wait for you. uthrow uair is waaay better.
dont just try to look for new techs if they arent even useful, or new, lol.
im not trying to be a **** either if thats what youre thinking. :D

Yeah, up throw, Uair is much safer and alot better. You can also do Dthrow then tech read and charge Usmash, or just chain grab lol.

dthrow utilt to usmash
Dthrow with Fox dosent link into any move unless you read their tech.. No good player will get hit by Utilt out of the Dthrow. Even if they dont tech it, you can still DI out of it therefor not getting hit by Utilt.

they cant move then i just utilt then upsmash if they DI out just grab again or fsmash

Silent Wolf

D-throw really has no significance with Fox, unless you're trying to be a **** and piss people off by tech chasing.

I know u-throw to u-air is more useful, but your opponent would expect it. By adding d-throw to >b into the mix, and using it a few times in a match, it'll give them more to think about. Also, like Fastfox said, you might just piss them off if you tech chase with it.

sure theyd expect uthrow to uair, but can they do anything about it? most of the time no, but that still gives you a better oppurtunity than dthrow.

Uthrow to Uair is such a solid combo on so many characters Thats thers no need to use a Combo with so much lag in it, espcially when you want to stay close to your oppenent.
I mean, ya sure its nice every once in a while, but its not very usefull

Just like Silent Wolf said it dosent matter if the expect Uthrow Uair because most of the time they cant do anything about it anyways.. And who cares if you piss someone off during a match winning is winning. In a tourniment do whatever it takes to win.

This topic is too funny.

Uthrow to bair > uthrow to uair IMO

I love random forward B to up smash combos, though.

But downthrow to illusion? ahahahaha

if i throw down i usually charge a smash move while their teching out of it... depends who im playing though.. if its a samus, samus just techs so i charge up+a.. shiek techs side and normal.. so its a gamble with her
