Help with grabs!

Ok so for some reason, i cant grab as well as my friend. its like the game doesnt like me
im 2 inches away from him and fox just doesnt seem to grab the guy

is it better for shield grab or just dash grab after a person attacks???

i read something about jump cancel grab but i dont see why that would help

You should use JC grab. Why? Because it's faster and has less lag.

Use JC grab because it has alot mor change, moslty because when you do it you kind of slide during it wich gives you more range. So practice that.

yah i keeep hearing about jump cancel grabs.... wat are they and how do u do them exactly???

i think it is jump then dodge to ground and just grab?

No, what you need to do is dash, jump and before the jumps starts press Z to grab.

on your first throw on a fast faller when starting a chain throw, JC grab out of shine for style points. if he doesnt DI. its sooo useful.

Just remember to always JC grab, or shield grab.
