[The Basement Dweller]

I said to myself that I wasn't going to make a list, but with all the other lists why not? These are just my opinions so please do not take them as fact or argue that they are stated as fact because this is my official disclaimer to stating my opnions as fact. Please note that my list is not any order of any kind.

8. Ganondorf (needs his sword)
9. Falco

11. Ness
12. Ice Climbers

15. Zelda (needs to be separate from Sheik and get her sword from TP)
16. Sheik (needs to be separate from Zelda)
17. Link
18. Pikachu
19. Jigglypuff
20. Mewtwo (needs a new moveset)
21. Mr. Game and Watch
22. Marth
23. Roy (needs a new moveset)
24. Zero Suit Samus (She needs to be separate from Samus)
25. Metaknight

Now the new characters I would like to see in Brawl.
29. Krystal

She has the potential to be a unique character because she could weild her staff which is currently not in use with melee. Also she has a very large fan base so she would be a popular character if she got in.
30. Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong would make a good second character for the popular Donkey Kong series and woula also represent his own Diddy Kong Racing. He is extremely popular with a cult following.
31. Saradin

One major reason Saradin would be a good choice is because he would represent another franchise, he is fairly important to the story and is a magic user and people seem to want a magic user I don't really know why, but hey you gotta please the masses right?
32. Geno

He has the potential to be a unique character, but I have to say that I don't care for the proposed moveset here on the Smashboards in the Geno thread. He also has a cult following and would be a popular character in Brawl.
33. Lyn, Hector or Greil (Personally I would like to see Lynn, but Hector would make a unique character weilding his axe.)

Lyn is a very popular charcter and uses a sword and bow as a Blade lord, running the risk of being similar to Link in my opinion she is a very popular character nontheless.
Hector would be unique using his axe he is also a popular charcter.
Greil is basically the same as Hector using an axe as a weapon would make him unique, but Hector is probably the better choice as Greil is somewhat a minor character and you don't get to use him unless you beat the game multiple times. I only added him because people like the idea of an axe weilder in Brawl and he is just another possible suggestion that is fairly important to the story being Ike's father and what not.
34. Mega man or Zero (I would like to see the X versions of both of them and Zero over Mega, but Mega has a much better chance.)

Megaman is one of the most popular third party charcters and has a mulitude of very popular games and several spinoff series making him a solid choice as a third party charcter.
Zero is popular, but far less likely to gat in then X, but because of his multitude of sword techniques he would translate well into Brawl.
35. Ridley

Ridley is a very popular villian from the Metroid series and is well known it would be nice to have a villian for each charcter.
36. Wolf

Same as Ridley really he is a popul;ar villian of Starfox and currently Fox has no villians in melee.
37. King K. Rool

K. Rool would be the villian for Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong and is fairly popular as a DK villian.
38. Mach Rider

He is a very popular popular retro character, but he has got to leave the bike at home.
39. Grit

Advanced wars is a popular series and I have seen Grit mentioned as being the favorite of alot of people on the boards not just mine.
40. Goroh

Although not being particularly fond of the idea of another racer in Brawl Goroh is Falcon's rival and is popular. If every other character is getting a villian/rival Falcon should too I guess.

The final number announced was 40 right so I guess I done with my list.

Gotta give ya some credit, by placin wolf, megaman, geno and ridley it becomes a good list, but way too many FE characters for my taste

I tried to keep it to four by making them giving an option so actually my list only contains 4 Fire Emblem charcters and it incorporates the popular idea here on the boards about a Fire Emblem magic user by changing it to make it magic users from Fire Emblem that were impotant to the story instead of just the mages.

Overall, a d*** good list. Don't care much for the magic users but whatever. All the characters are cool, alot of them being very likely. Not much to say here. Anyway yeah, it is nice. I am getting around to making my list in about a month or so but it will be special and different from everyone else's because I have something more in mind but you will all have to find that out later...

Yeah, I think that 4 Fire Emblem characters is too much. 3 is already a lot. I'd rather have an Advance War character instead (another great Intelligent Systems game).

Also, whenever a list does not include Little Mac and Captain Olimar, it makes me a sad Panda. :(

Heh, did you just add an Advance Wars character per my suggestion, nice. A strange choice for a character, though. it would make more sense for them to add a more main character. Probably Andy (his wrench as a weapon would be unique), maybe Sami or someone else from Orange Star.

Meh, is it really that popular? Most people seem to be all about Lyn and Hector. I also think that Roy should be replaced, maybe become an alternate costume for Marth.

A good and reasonable sounding list Dweller. I espically enjoy the Fire Emblem support such as Lyn. Youe idea for including a magic user is interesting. Personally I can't see Athos in the role but Lilina or Mikaya (if she turns out to be lord/main character for the next game) could be possibilities.

Only people who hold grudges take cheap shots. I have argued with Dweller before and I can still praise him for a good idea now and then. Really, if you start flaming you don't become a better person. But just for the record, I am neutral with everyone except maybe Uncle Meat. We seem to be having an uncle vs uncle rivalry.

If any one can find a better picture of Hector it would be appreciated, but could you make sure it doesn't stretch the page I hate it when the page is horribly stretched. Also I added Greil (Ike's father) as another possibility instead of Hector they are both axe weilder, so they are basically the same. I'm not saying that I support Greil, but he is a more important character to the story than Ross or some of the other axe weilder even though you don't get to play as him unless you beat the game several times. I am just trying to add a some possibilities for the spot. By possibilities I mean some sensible possibilities I mean Greil is Ike's father so he is fairly important.

It's true, there are too many FE character's, I personnaly think two (Marth and who ever else they decide to put in) should do it for that series.

There are only four it's not an agregious amount, like Killshot and his pokemon and I would have it to 3, but the idea of a magic user is popular and all the suggestions I haveseen were for FE mages so I made them FE magic users that were more important to the story then just an ordinary mage or sage. I tried to make a list that incorporates the majority of the popular ideas here. Like Geno not neccasarily my first choice, but he is an extremely popular 3rd party.
