DI problem

ive been having a few problems with link lately and getting out of any kind of combo...even if im sent a fair height.. he doesnt seem to jump in time to get out of an attack, like ganons Uair and thats with a full jump.. i was wondering if theres a quicker way to gain my DI back or sumthing to at least move again?

make sure when you Di you are actually Di'ing. what I mean is DI is directional influence, and the way it is done, is by holding the control stick in the direction. you may be hitting it or doing something other than holding it.
