New Link trick

I don't actually know if this is new or not. I've never read anything about it. I don't know how useful it is, but I'm sure someone could find some use for it. Either way, I call it Bomb Neutralizing. It takes very good timing. I can get it going pretty good sometimes but other times I can only do it like once every 10 tries. Throw a bomb strait up and then take out a second bomb and squat. Wait until the first bomb is about to hit the ground and press A to throw the second bomb. If timed correctly you should hit the first bomb with the second bomb really close to the ground. Enough to cause both bombs so stop completely and lay on the ground.

So any thoughts on this?

it's a very INTERESTING find... but i dont see it as being very practical.

realistically, the only way I can see it being used if your opponent is above you and you throw the bomb up. if it misses, then you could use this technique to try to recycle both bombs, but... if you want set bombs you should just use bombsetting. it's a lot more reliable.

i just don't think your opponent would let you just stand still for that long...

ive seen horrible link players be like "bet you cant do this!!" and they do this crazy bomb thing and they are extreamly proud of their absolutly useless accomplishment. Then i rape them...shows that they're spending their time VERY effictively.

yea so its useless....fun to watch tho...the only way you could ever pull it off it to literally ask for your opponent to stop attcking you and say, "yo check this out"...

I'm not sure if it's completely useless...given, it's nothing to alert every Link in the known Smashing world about, but it's probably not useless.

I can see it being useful in CERTAIN edgegaurding situations. That's about it, though.

Good find, though, regardless of practicallity. Without people looking for things like you, then we would've never figured out WDing.
