I can L-cancel and even SHFFL if I focus on it copltely. but I cant seem to get it to become an instinct. when I'm playing in a match only the SHFF part comes naturaly. any ideas on how to cement it into my subconsciousness?

Practice doing it against a lvl 1 computer until you can do it at will. You should get to the point where you wouldn't have to think about it anymore.

Agreed. And just practice A LOT. It'll all pay off when you start doing it in your sleep.

you can just keep playing against someone until you get the L-cancel correctly and you have to know that the time u fall after hit with most of the characters is different.
I can actually get SHFFL alot of the time, but I do have a question, why practice against a level 1 computer?

A lvl 1 computer won't interrupt your practice.
Example: You try to do a SHFFL Fair but the lvl 9 computer keeps power sheilding and grabbing you
Also, lvl 1 computers have better DI (therefore better to practice combos on)
Ah, I will keep that in mind.
