double boomerang

ok so i was just playing against a computer fox (yay for no one to play with) and i actually threw a double boomerang. that is, there were 2 boomerangs in the air. yes, i was not seeing double, there were two boomerangs in the air at the same time with one link. i dont know if this has happened before to anyone, but i really would like to know how to do it exactly, im not very sure. all i know is that i threw a boomerang at the fox, which of course he powershielded cuz hes a comp, so just at the second the boomerang hit the power shield i hit over b again (i have this bad habit of always trying to throw a boomerang even when i cant) and it threw a new boomerang at him, which struck just as the other one was flying back past me. has this ever happened to anyone before? because id love to incorperate that into my strategy if i could figure it out. i dont know ive never read anything like this before

After a boomerang is reflected, the game doesn't consider it a boomerang anymore; it's something else. So, beacuse of this, you can throw another boomerang, even though you technically never got it back.

yeah. it's pretty well known. just think of it this way:

If you don't have a boomerang flying around anywhere, then you have it in stock. when the fox powershielded your boomerang, technically, it became his. So since it was the comp's boomerang and not yours, then you have your boomerang again.
