View Full Version : Possible Zelda's design in Brawl (TP spoilers to some extent)
We already know about the famous Zelda's artwork, but this is the first time that her actual ingame model (and possibly design for Brawl) is shown.

I find this model absolutely gorgeous. I don't think they could improve Zelda's design further.

Ooh, that IS a beaut. Since Link'll be in his TP appearance coming into Brawl, it may very well be safe assurance that Zelda will also be in that incarnation. Question is, is she actually going to use that rapier?

When I first looked at that Model.
It looked so much like the SSBB Artwork Models.
Yes, those intricated motives and embroidery surely have a reminiscence of Marth, Roy, Peach and Pit designs.

I think that might acctually be Zelda's Brawl Outfit. I know most of you will think I'm nuts, but hear me out.
First is that it looks ALOT like a Brawl artwork. I doesn't seem like coincedence. Its way to close to the real thing. Also, with Link in TP model this will most likly be how Zelda looks. the other thing is it isn't a Zelda artwork. All the artworks for TP have been 2-D, not 3-D. Doesn't it seem odd that we all of a sudden get a 3-D one. Also, there has never been a 3-D Zelda artwork. Look back in every game. They have always been 2-D. Expesially since an artwork from E3 2006 was in 2-D. I think they might have made a mistake and let the cat out of the bag. Also remember Sakurai said he was doing some screenshots.
dude, its not artwork its an actual model from the game
although im not ruling out your possibility

She'll probably show up like that, and lose the Shiek transformation ability to Samus. If she doesn't suck, Zelda wielding a sword will be an awesome character.

I don't think Nintendo ever showed a render of a Zelda game before. At least the last time I remembered seeing a Zelda game render was never.

Yeah, she's shown in the latest video cutscene. Astoundingly beautiful... DOn't know if she uses the sword for anything in Brawl, but she definitely does have it in hand in a part of the game.

Well, I don't think that'll stop her from having a sword-based moveset in Brawl. Funny though, before the TP models of Zelda and Ganondorf where released... I thought tha Ganon would have a sword-based moveset and Zelda a magic one like in Melee. Now that I saw the new models... I think I could expect the opposite!
Anyways, I like the new model. Yes she's pale like xian said but wasn't that sort of "fashion" in the middle ages or what? I'd love to have this as a Brawl model, and I'm pretty sure we will.

I'm pretty sure it's just because she doesn't get out enough.

Hahah yeah but THAT's the point! In the middle ages you looked rich if you where pale because you didn't HAVE TO get out. ;) Strange people... But whatever.
I really hope Zelda will get a sword based moveset. Her Melee one wasn't that bad, but I thought it was more physical then magical. It where just punches and kicks with a lighting effect... Sure she may keep her Fair and Bair which are basically her only good moves... :) A sword would improve her range, which I think she needs more. So... Zelda with the rapier FTW! :D

Zelda with a rapier would definitely be sick, though unless she wields one in TP, it'd just be too random for her to just have one in SSBB.
If she's even going to be in it. It's a next gen game, why not have a 3D looking rendered model considering, well. She'll be a 3D model in the game?
I think you guys are reading a bit too far into that image. Sure Zelda may be in just cuz she's Zelda and it's almost necessary considering it'd be good for TP's sales (if they'll even need any more by Brawl). But..almost deciding she'll be in just cuz there's a model on top of a column on TP. That's slightly ridiculous.
Haha and drooling over a video game character. I'm sorry guys but..yea.

Well, Zelda's moves in Melee where all made up. And those who wheren't... she didn't even used, like Din's Fire. I think it'll be much easier to make up moves with a rapier, since Zelda is already pretty random.
I think it's also pretty oblivous that we'll see Zelda back in Brawl. I don't know, but "Twilight Princess" seems like Zelda has a big role in it. And didn't a head programmer said that Zelda will take another role than you'd expect she would?
Still, I think if Zelda returns (which Im 100% sure of but whatever) she'll be exactly like this model, or atleast based of it.

I doubt Zelda would use the sword for a couple of reasons.
1. Many swordfighters have to use swords while Zelda doesn't. Why put an extra swordfighter in the game when she can have a movelist all her own?
2. Ganondorf didn't use his sword in Melee.
3. TP comes out on Sunday (yes thank you, I DO have a preorder,) and we don't know if she actually uses the sword, or perhaps gives it to Link. And what if she has other forms of offense?
That said, it's not impossible for her to use the sword, so... we'll have to see!
Also, I think it would be hillarious to see the faces of the Shiek naysayers if they managed to bring her back in TP.

Hmmm..
1. Yes that's true. But swords -well weapons in general- are more common used in Brawl. Look at Fox, he holds his gun all the time. Zamus has a lasergun with a whip, MetaKnight has a sword, Pit has a bow and double daggers and even Snake has mines and a rocket launcher. Only Wario, Mario and Pikachu don't use weapons of all the confirmed characters... So I think Zelda could have a sword-based moveset, if only for her A attacks.
2. Ganondorf was supposed to use his sword, and he never used it in OoT. Heck the blade didn't even shown up in in OoT... Still he had it in Melee.
3. IM SOOO ****ING JEALOUS OF YOU GUYS!!! We in the PAL regions have to wait till December the 3rd. T_T I swear we are always the ones who get screwed over... Anyways, yeah I suppose Zelda still could have Magic in her moveset, why not? I like her current B moves, and they really suit her. :)

PAL regions always get screwed.
Why should another sword character be included, when she doesn't even need a sword in the first place? Zelda can freaking PWN everyone with a bunch of needles :(.

Awesome model, and that sword does look good, but I'd rather she remained a magic user, seeing as she's the only one in melee (and Ness and Mewtwo are more psychic than magic). Giving her a sword would make her less unique, unless she is like a sword mage, but hopefully Isaac/Felix will be in, so they'll probably take that role. According to a TP trailer (I believe it's the most recent one) she does seem to use a spell of sorts, so maybe she'll still remain a mage.
But seeing as Link is in his TP look, I'm pretty confident that this model will be used in brawl, because let's face it, Zelda's chances of returning are pretty much 100%, as they can't add more Zelda charcters without having Link, Zelda and Gannondorf.

She is also the centre of most plots but because he is playable I think Link gets the number one spot.
I often tell people it's diguisting to say video game characters are "hot" but this version of Zelda is Elegant, Gorgeous and she is very wise looking, I don't think I have ever sene a video game character that made me remeber something from school but Zelda in TP looks similar (yet different) to what I imagine Helen of Troy would have looked like.

If Zelda comes back, and she is re-skinned as TP, it's not gonna be entirely new. She'll still keep some of her old moves like her aerial moves, those are pretty generic for a magic princess. although her b moves might change, she will be nostalgic.
Until I see the Gale Boomerang, no one is chaning my mind that the TP designs are skin changes only.

Well, think of it this way. There are numourous games without Ganondorf (LA, OoA, OoS, 4SA, MC) There are a few games without Zelda (LA, OoA, OoS) But there are NO games without Link.
Just food for thought.

Let's also say that the other (minor) characters, with the exception of some enemies, like Stalfos, Moblins and Octorok, have never appeared in more than half of all Zelda games. Ganon is basically Ganondorf but only his evil demonic altered form. In my opinion Ganondorf himself died after the Wind Waker, but his Ganon form still kept existing.

In the Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Caesar would appear to be the most important character, yet the play focuses around Brutus and the other plotters.
Although Link is not in the title, he is, from the game's standpoint, the most important character bar none.
