Link Wall Jumps?

I was playing against Link on Hyrule Temple, and he wall jumped off of the ledge! As a person who plays with Link as his choice, I find it surprsingly unusual for Link to have done a wall jump considering, when I've tried, he couldn't. The younger counterpart can, but was this simply a thing only the computer can do? It seems impossible, but I saw it!

Did this happen to anyone else?

What you saw was most likely a tech. When you are knocked into the wall by an attack you can tech off of the wall in a way that looks very similar to a wall jump. Link can do this on his own by bombteching. You basically let yourself get caught in the explosion of your own bomb, and then tech from the hit. This allows Link to basically use wall jumps at the expense of taking a little damage, and of course it is a bit harder to perform.

Even Bowser can wall tech. It's a handy skill to master.

Like the other said, you basically did a wall tech which is possible if you get hit onto a wall, however, link cannot wall jump at will
