Come on people crono from Chrono Trigger quite possibly the most revolutional RPG made for the super nintendo i think crono should have a rightful place in brawl agree , disagree?? i mean not only is he one off the coolest characters in RPG history but the first time i played that game it blew my mind perfect 10s acroos the board i cant be the only one that thinks this.:mad:

He'd be cool, yes, but Smash is only getting 2 more third party characters, and if they ask Squenix for one, it's either gonna be a Moogle or Geno. Crono is far south in its chances. D:

Even though Nintendo said that they will only be getting 1 or 2 more third party characters, I think that the chances of there being at least 5 is very likely. Brawl has been under development for a while now and they will be working on it for several more months before it releases. With all that time I think that there should be at least 50 characters in the game (DBZ has over 120, of course with similar characters though) and Nintendo should have several third-party characters in mind. If I remember correctly, they said that they were only considering adding 1 or 2 more third party characters and I'm pretty sure that this was all before they delayed Brawl's release. (Brawl was originally intended to be a launch title, right?)

1. No, they said this after they announced the actual release date.

2. Smash Bros. was a launch title back when Nintendo hadn't actually started making the game.

Also, it's to be noted that a third party character can't be considered unless the third party itself allows it. Sakurai saying "1 or 2 more" is a combination of his desire to keep the 3rd party number far from unwiedly, and how many he expects to actually be submitted by the third parties themselves, most likely.

I share the exact same sentiments for Chrono Trigger. One of the best, if not the best rpg game of its time. It truly deserves more recognization. That being said, I also have to be realistic. There will only be a few other 3rd party characters and if one comes from square enix, there are alot of characters that would proabily get chosen over Chrono. Examples include Geno who many want or someone Final Fantasy related such as a Black Mage. Still, it's nice to hope.
