Alrighty. A particular videogame store/arcade by the name of The D Pad, is hosting a tournament on the 16th (Saturday) of December.

Tournament will be 1v1, MLG-Style (Some rules being bent due to duration and format of tournament)
No Character switching
Usual banned stages

Entry fee is $15.
1st prize is a brand new Nintindo Wii!
if 40 or more players show up, 1st also gets Wii game of choice, and second prize will also be a Nintindo Wii!! (Yes thats two Wiis being given away)
Assorted prizes will range down to 5th place
Tournament starts @ 7:00 PM at The D Pad.

New Braunfels is a town located in between Austin and San Antonio, so all of that area (San Marcos, Seguin, etc) is welcome and encouraged to show up!

Alright check it, as it seems some people are having trouble finding it, I'm going to give you guys general directions here, and also the phone number to the place.

To hit New Braunfels you're going to want to take I35. From Austin, you go south, SA, area, you go north, obviously. You'll exit WALNUT, and go towards HEB (if your coming from austin, you go right, if from SA, left under the highway). Continue down the road just to the corner of the HEB to a light, and turn left. After turning left you should pass Wallgreens (which should be on your right) and the dpad will be about 4 lots down from Wallgreens, on your right, across the street from ROSS.. It has christmas lights up.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, but I can't complain since that's just how everything worked out. I thank all the hosts for being very kind and friendly throughout the tournament, even met someone from my Japanese class, that was pretty tight lol. I hope there will be more Wii prizes in the future and someone would be kind enough to let me win it :).

That would be me somehow getting "6th" even tho I was one of 4 people left in the winners bracket. After I lost to Mr C I immediately had to play Jordan which shouldn't have happened because he and I both got knocked into losers at the same time. I should've pretty much been guaranteed top 5 with the possibility of placing higher, but once we figured out the brackets were screwed up I just played mr nice guy and took the loss to Jordan and let them finish things how they happened.

Anyway, congrats to everyone for their placings, Fear and Chang definitely deserve to be placed higher than me anyway, so I don't feel that bad.
