I'm all for rankings. I have my own opinions about who's the best out of our top players but since opinions are infinitely controversial in matters like these i'd rather leave this to tournament results.

And for Josh and Juggie, i don't see how you can think that everyone is even. Yes, i'd say i'm even with about 2 or 3 of the warders, however there's a clear difference between a player like me and a player like Zac.

lol zac stop crying honestly. in all tournaments i've been 2 (which is everyone youve been to) i've only vsed you 3 times ever. once in squat 1 when u eliminated me easily (when i wasnt competitive(did'nt even know how to wave dash + l canceling) anyhow... squat 2 when i ALMOST eliminated you on pokemon stadium and in squat 4 i eliminated you back to the losers bracket to go onto the finals undefeated (which i wouldve won the tourny if we did not run out of time). REMEMBER this. and also i do not care if you put me below you cause you are a great player and you probably wouldve beaten me in squat 4 if you chose sheik again on our final match of rainbow ride instead of marth.

look you the judge of the rankings so do what you and everone else thinks best.

How to make rankings goodly like. Break up all smashers into the 4 tier groups. Top, high, mid, low. Then work out individual placings within each tier.

The most accurate and fair way to do this is to base ranking soley of tournament placings. Because these are QLD power rankings it is only fair do use only QLD tourney results.

However Zac has had a fit because he used fox and came 5th at Squat 3. So I think he would like that one excluded even though that is unfair. So that leaves SQUAT2 and QSB as tournies we can base power rankings on. Plus SQUAT 3 if Zac is willing to admit that he didn't do well in that tourney.

This is what it says on Page 1 of this thread about power rankings.

Tournaments

* Its not just how well you place in a tournament but who you play in the tournament and how well you do against them. If you clearly had the easiest bracket then it will not bump you a lot. If you had the toughest bracket and did decent in that bracket it will most likely boost you a bit. This is also based on Singles and Doubles and Crews..

Consistency

* How well they do on a constant basis. If they can do good one day but the next day they are doing very bad or not. If someone does good in 1 tournament but then totally bomb their next tournament or 2 then they will most likely not be as high as they think.

Tournament Competition

* Tournaments with full of noobs will not be counted. Only serious tournaments will be added. Tournaments with out of towners or any big names will possibly count more towards your ranking. Only tournamnents held within Qld will be counted.

First of all tournaments. How well you place should be directly linked to where you are on the power rankings. It is not up to us to say if someone had an easy bracket or a hard bracket. For example if my bracket consisted of moose - toai - juggy - seig -vyse who is to say that is easy or hard. Some might say that is easy because they can beat all those players however you can't judge how difficult it is for me to beat them based on how you perform against them.

Basically you can't say: "Oh that match is going to be an easy match for Scrubs because I can beat them and Scrubs is on my level." Because of the depth of the game it is not that simple.

Second consistency. Consistency is something that can be incorporated into the power rankings. But a system void of human opinion must be used.

Lastly one tournament cannot count MORE or LESS than another tournament. You either include the tournament in the rankings or not.

Josh how could you possibly think that when the tournament was non-seeded and was missing half of the top Australian smashers? I didnt play against a single Queenslander so your opinion = fail. If he's so good how come he's never won any Qld tourneys? Ive won 3 out of the 6 we've had and went toe to toe with bringer, something no other Qlder could do. If you say "its cause he used yoshi" maybe you should ask yourself that if you think he would have won with his other characters, why not use them? I have completely disregarded CoA and if you wish to state otherwise, then everyone should go back for Comrades 2.

As for the Rankings the team is myself and Ben, and from ward Vyse and Accelerate.

Whatever, if you need these ranking for whatever strange reason then do what you want with them, but dont exclude squat 3. What is your reasoning for excluding that entire tournament? Thats just throwing away everyone elses performance, Ben dont do it please.

ACCELL,. if you want my advice you shouold stick to falcon. You have an aggressive/fast style which seemed to wrok very wel with Falcon. You need to watch a bunch of ISai vids and how he spaces and uses falcons speed to keep himself out of reach.

The real question is, do we take character match-ups into account, when taking into account the crew battle?

About crew battles for rankings. You basically look at how much stock people take and who they take them from. e.g i took 9 stock with marth form triss(samus), accel(falcon) and sieg(samus). Radiance took 10 stock from bob(yoshi), kas(sheik) and toai(marth). Also looking at the character match ups, samus and falcon are harder for marth than yoshi and marth are for shiek/zelda. So even though he took more stock, he had better matchups against weaker players.

He went against me *but since I'm ranked as last, I guess it doesn't count, plus I suck anyway*, although I was playing as Sheik, but still.
