Interesting news about the crew battle. It goes for a total of 19 minutes 32 seconds. It starts normal and goes blank half way through tristan and matt then goes to ben and moose for about 2 minutes then skips again to me dying against ryan. Meaning about 20 minutes have just dissapeared. I can still upload it but it will be raw footage. My camera has been playing up a bit lately so I might have to send it back to sony.

AAALLLLSSSSOOOOOO, if you played someone in say the 1st round of losers braket then if the team who won loses the next round and has to play them again, the team who lost to them in the winners bracket doesnt have to win 2 sets. The only time soemone has to win 2 sets is in the championship finals. Because the people who came in through the losers bracket had already lost a set and the other people would have gone through undefeated meaning that they still have 1 chance left. So the losers brakets winners would have to win 1 set to make it even, then another to win. This has happened a few times and was hte reason why we didnt finish SQUAT 4 (looking at you ben and aaron).


Thats exactly what i was saying when me and moose lost to sieg and vyse in the losers. I was like we have already beat them in the winners. And your like oh they one 1 set in the loosers they win you and moose are knocked out. But hey i guess i dont run the tourney so i miss the advantage of making up the rules as i go along thing.

It doesnt matter, thats what im saying, there is no "omg we beat you once so you have to beat us twice" I dont know were this rule came from but its completely wrong. The winner of the losers finals has to win 2 sets against the winner of the winners finals because the winners finals people are still in winners and are yet to lose. So if the people who won winners bracket lost in the championship bracket and got kncocked out, it means they were basically playing a single elimination bracket were aas the losers bracket winners have been given a 2nd chance.

You beat vyse and sieg in the winners bracket but even though you played them again, it doesnt mean that they have to win 2 sets. Cause you lost once, and so did they. If they had to win 2 that means that they get an extra chance.

I dont know were this "if we beat you once you have to beat us twice even though its not the finals" came from, probably a misinterpretation of rules. But its wrong.

Im going to say it one more time:

ONLY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS ARE 2 SETS TO BE PLAYED

New to these forums. Shukudai (I don't know if he goes by the same nickname here or not) mentioned these forums years ago but I never really got into the game (still not really). I wouldn't mind having some random games or whatever whenever I'm free.

Don't have a GC so I've only had about 10~12hrs cumulative on it so I'm generally still new to the game.

It's cool.. I'm not really a serious gamer. Just at uni passing time at the moment.

I live in Calamvale but spend a lot of time in Ipswich (study/tutor there). I can pretty much get anywhere though... just depends on if I have the time or not. Seems I need to learn the basics... eg. I have a lot of trouble performing tilt moves unless it's pre-buffered from another move... picking up items... just the simple things. I won't even ask about advance techniques...

Lol, well, it takes time to get used to doing all of it. =] Not 'that' long, though! Took me about a week or two to get all the hard stuff like wave-dashing and blah good, but I play Smash... or PLAYED Smash heaps.

Calamvale should be a fair distance away from Sunnybank if I remember.

Mains Rd runs straight through Sunnybank... Calamvale is at the end of it (4 kms or so). Not far at all really. I can get to the city via driving in about 20 (10~15minutes if I REALLY needed to).

About picking items etc... I meant picking up items on the ground. If I remember correctly, Shukudai said you can be walking to pick up items. You don't need to be stationary. Items thrown at me... I don't even dodge them properly yet let alone catching them. Generally all the tilt or pressure sensitive moves are the ones I can't do well.

Also, since I really suck at edge grabbing and simple things like that I just avoided the whole thing by picking up Jigglypuff from Pikachu (since getting back to the edge with Pikachu was rather hard for a beginner).

I'd practice more if I had a GC but I really only get a chance to play when I meet up with Shukudai and when he wants to play Smash and not Tekken.

Looking for a GC on eBay... couple around for about 60~70AUD (that's "Buy It Now" including P&H - base console with one controller and no games)... is that good? If so, I'll buy it and start practicing a bit.
