I dont think speed will be > strength as much in the new smash.... I think nintendo realises that all the fast characters in melee were the best. Im sure they will balance it out somewhat. with so many characters tho... it will be hard.

Im not saying bowser will be top... but Im just saying they will try to keep it balanced based on what they learned in melee. (such as Ike's no flinching move)

I hope they keep most of the characters from melee. I know Doc will be gone, and im ok with losing pichu, young link, game and watch, but i find it unecessary. Hopefully its just Doc they take out. (and change pichu a bit so he's not just a bad version of pikachu)

Edit: oh ya and I saw Mario using his water squirter thing from sunshine in the sonic vid

There's no reason to have the lower evolution of an already-playable Pokémon. Just like there's really no reason to have Young Link, and Dr. Mario could just as easily be a Mario costume change. Game & Watch is irreplaceable, I think, though.

I anticipated that we would be seeing Sonic in Brawl, but I didn't realize the news would come so early. If this is what they're showing us now, it makes me a little concerned as to what they're not revealing.

They will not reveal all the characters, I think they are just showing the starting line up with the pre-unlocked characters u get. Now if wat i say is true then we can predict a very big roster of characters, which may or may not ruin the games balance

If you read a post in the brawl forums, Mic_128 outlined the predictions for the characters based on the time left and the updates. I think they will reveal all the characters in the updates, but that is just me.

See, I'd just go on GameFAQs or Smashboards and find out how to unlock everything ASAP anyway, so I myself don't care about spoilers, but I can understand why people want the surprise.

Either way, I don't think they'd keep something like Sonic or Snake hidden. It's advertising for Sega / Konami, to an extent, publicity. It's also advertising for the game. Reveal sonic and wham, you've got a whole new group of people buying brawl. Keep him hidden and they won't know about it until later.

But thats why I like playing against people like levi, cause he knows how to beat me, so if I beat him, its more legitimate (IF HE WASNT SANDBAGGING ALWAYS)

That must be an Alberta thing. Here, if you play Sheik, you can expect to be punished. Only John's sheik seems to really win matches. I don't think Sheik is that bad, unless I decide to be chainthrown 0-70+ by using Pikachu or something like that.
