Sydney Smash Thread - We Actually won a Crew Battle?!

I think I play a lot of Smash actually, and attend meets a lot, what stops me is just living far + not being able to drive, if I lived at like, Eastlakes still, distance wouldn't be a problem, which is the reason why I leave early Pat. I still think like, 5 hours of smash is a lot of me :)

Uh, so where do we exactly pre-reg for OHN6? When we pre-reg, does that allow us to enter other games too? I'm just curious.

Registration allows you to have full access to all aspects of the event except for official tournament sign ups... This isn't going to be cheap. I'm surprised smash isn't mentioned on their schedule or tournament listings. It looks like its gunna end up becoming a DIY tournament. Similar to EGG S3 tournaments.

now last time we handled the tourny fairly poorly because, IMHO, we were unprepared.

now we're smashers so we're lazy which means... what I'm about to ask is improbable, but i should still ask anyway, we are going to... as a group, organise this next tournament

now lets see... there's a check list here:

LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE TOURNY

this means advertising and spreading it around the forums, so anyone members of other fourms.. or anything OHN6 related start threads... make people know that smash will be at OHN6.
I'll make banners, and we can use those to let people know ^_^

so we need to get the idea out there, if anyone has any other bright ideas, let me know

THE ACTUAL TOURNY

TV's Cubes, Smash, bracket system, the whole lot we need to get a laptop there or a computer that can run a bracket program, we need to know how many people will be there, thus how many people we need to cater for, seeing as we are doing this
we are aiming for teams and singles so far guys, if we organise this properly we'll have low tiers ^_^

RECORDING
Unreon was introduced to us through youtube, he saw some videos of me and BJay, i mean, if we got someone like Jas out there, who knows who else will be waiting, so we need to record these and get them up there

PHOTOS

optional, i have recently acquired a digital camera though, i'll be happy to lend it to someone who can take photos, nothing will be recorded on it, and thats final, it's too small

SMASHWIKI
someone, or some people need to update the smash wiki, need to get the results, make OHN6 a topic with links and stuff to it, update the other tourny info and so on.


Thats all i can think of so far, i figure we assign ourselves to certain tasks and do them?

I'll cover the camera for photography, the banners, i'll update the first page with OHN6 info how many tv's cubes we have set aside, how much brinton will give us, we'll assume we have one day set aside, and that we need to squeeze it all in to that one day.
so if we have two, it'll be easy to organise

So, discuss? i really don't want an unfinished tourny like last time, where the winner didn't get the winning ceremony he deserved.
