fixed the sig i think :)

idea for the seeding... use the open day aswell as the tournament results... thats about all i can think of and anyone that didnt come to either the tournament or the open day should be unseeded...

i think the seeds should be the top half of however many people play in the tournament to ensure good players dont play against other good players first round etc... but in saying that i'll probably be unseeded and play against good players first round, but thats the way i think it should be run.

I wonder where I'll be seeded? The only tourny I've been properly ranked in sorta screwed up because someone didn't copy down the results properly or something, which meant that some people ended up having multiple rounds even though they lost @_@

I ended up losing count of the amount of times I fought Jaz >_> At first, my Marth was doing well against his CF and then, towards the end of the tourny, my focus started to wear off, resulting in much pwnage on his behalf.

Be that as it may, I think I ended up placing something like... Third or Fifth? @_@ I can't be sure, though, since the ranking for the tourny was kinda buggered up.

lol - animania == anime mania. it's an anime convention.

there are technically two conventions - the 'mini animania' on 31 march (yes, i know the dates confict but there'd no smash the the mini) and the really big one at the end of september.

we're aiming for september obviously.

I hope people don't abandon the open day for animania on the 31st. That would be a bit rude to CAOTIC, who wanted as many people to attend as possible.

September is still pretty far away.... but plenty of smashing to do until then, right?

and if we bring the 27 from the tourny in S3....
thats near the biggest australian melee tournament ever O.O

I wonder if anyone else noticed that the Smash emblem in our banners is back to front. I don't see anything wrong with it, just wanted to point it out.

Had some fun doing doubles and some singles matches. Although I wasn't playing top form I still learnt some stuff :p Doubles was mad as hell espeically with El Sid jiggs resting grabbed people from out of nowhere. Shame no one could pull off the infinite jab - grab combo in 1 vs 2 matches...

Speaking of Animania, I went there last year and everyone was noob but it showed that Smash was still going strong even when the organisers didn't organise a tournament for it. Mr Monkey will let us know what will happen with this year's Animania.

That Pichu sig does look a bit satanic. The dead eyes... Aiiieee get it away from the screen!

10 Monopoly money dollars to you good sir! it is back to front, and with good reason.
to make people do there heads in while wondering how smash looks the same for sydney, yet is different somehow...

actually the real reason its the other way around is because of direction, the rays of the sun in the background produce direction outward away from sydney, which symblises growth, and then we have the plane, the intersection through the smash symbol and lines from the black overhead border pointing towards the city.

so the city is the main part of the banner, except it is blended in with similar background colours, which leaves anything black or white to stand out in its place, that being the date of S3, S3 logo, persons character and handle ^_^

i did a 2 year design course ;) some things sunk through

IMO Summer is better because we can get out and about and run around like crazy until the sun sets! And if you happen to live near the beach, even better! Winter makes you lethargic and not want to get out of the house.

Jaz - pretty good explanation of the use of symbols in the S3 banner! Flipping the Smash logo does have an impact on the overall image - if you didn't flip it over, it would have conflicted a bit more with the ahh...'composition' of the image. I assume you did arts at high school?
