A few weeks left till S3.... that mean only a few weeks left until I really start practicing.:chuckle:

How many Cube's/Wii's do we have? I think we need a list now, because I'm constantly unsure about wether I should bring one or not. I'm only going to bring one if there is a shortage.

I'm thinking with the amount of people coming, that we should have plenty of Wii's/Cube's, if anything, its the TV's that we would need more of.

I've got a TV that can function fairly well as a paperweight. I'm not so sure about how well it'd function as an actual TV, though >.>;

Yes its definitely the TVs we need more of. I'll add a list of available TVs to the smash list in my post on the first page so ppl know how manyTVs r available. Since we have like 30 people who are interested in attending, TVs are becoming more important than ever.

Comrades had about like 15 - 20 tvs on the tourney day and they were all supplied by the people who attended the tournament. In other words, if you are coming and want yourself and everyone to have a good time, you gotta pull a leg. It doesn't just get handed to you on a silver platter.

And I don't want a tourney to happen like this: more than 25 people attend and all we do is complain about the lack of tvs and 'not getting enough turns' for the day. Jaz (surprisingly) had HEAPS of tvs when we went over to his place for the STD. And everyone supplied their GCs that night.

...I gotta nag everyone to make sure they bring their GC/Wii with a copy of smash the weekends before the tourney.

MeteorMaster u mentioned u only have a few weeks before u really start practising before the tourney? Why not start practising now? Since you're still at school, you'll have waaaay more free time compared to us uni students who have to deal with non stop assignments and trying to not flunk them so we can keep up with uni AND smash.

yeah it was an effort to get all those TV's there...
I had three to begin with though, i'll always be able to bring two of them if i get a lift to the tourny... + my wii and cube... jeez jaz pulling in,
but honestly it would be better to have some decent sized tvs... so if i can avoid bringing the second one i will...
how as for space at the concourse.... 30 people + randoms showing up, means seats for 30 people O.O
UTS doesn't have that amount of couches, we barely sat 20 at the open day, and we had random people sitting on the floor and heaps watching...
these tournies could get ridiculously big people, Dedu is right, Sydney Scene needs to input.
people travelling a big distance only have to bring cubes and copies of smash.memory cards, though people who live closer... i encourage to bring TVs
Brinton mentioned that EGG were going to be getting some more TVS anyway...

What course do you do and what days do you go? I do Architecture and I'm there on Tuesday (all day), Wednesday (after 1pm), Thursday (after 1pm), and Friday (before 1pm).

@_@ At the moment, I'm taking a brief break from making models for one of my design subjects. It's a real ***** since it takes so long to make them, draw them and render the drawings, but it takes so little effort x_x

by the way, does anyone know if bowser is (or was) one of cao's mains? cos i looked up cao on youtube, and...lo and behold....bowser. Theres a video of him playing the cape. THE CAPE. one of my favourite players. and he won. (although cape was DK [but then again cao was bowser])

Id have to agree with stu and jaz. id bring my tv if it wasnt plugged through my desk in a really stupid manner that means i cant plug it back in if i unplug it. but im happy to bring cube / smash of course. also, i could probably bring like....some fold up chairs....i have quite a few....if someone wants to give me a lift (simon, im talking to you :P). anyone think this is a good idea? i mean, im a floor-sitter myself. so i have no problem with the shortage. but the comfier we are, the happier well be, right?

Assuming I'm able to go, I'll be able to bring my Cube and SSBM disc. I don't think a TV is feasible, considering mine are too cumbersome, delicate and old to transport without risk of breaking them <_>

Now, why do I randomly mention this show?

Because just this year they have started a section called "N00b to Leet" (or something) where they show hints and things for game .
There is also a section called MasterClass, where they will get someone pro in and have them explain the finer points of a game.

You might just get Smash on TV.
This could help increase the scene not only in NSW but all over Aus, by quite an amount.
Hell, they might even do a MasterClass on the game and one of you guys could go in (they film in Sydney) and there will be a whole section of 3-5 minutes to show the advanced things.
Also the new host has shown an interest in Smash from what I see, so I reckon its a chance.

Good matches we had, I'm getting a bit better at the Marth ditto matchup myself, at least we're traveling the same road in that respect. You know your character well though, nice combos and very smooth overall. Nice.

Pat - Your Pickahu is OMG too good - at least as impressive as the *******y from the south. You have good aerial combos and fairly good mindgames - I don't remember too much of the Doc, but oh well - it is Doc. A good Pikachu sometimes fails to exist. The money match was too good - it made me play with a purpose and and toaded thunder was sick, haha. Toad is now my new favorite move. Don't forget to school Nesis at UNSW when you can ;) i wish I had smashers at my school.

Fonti - Alright Falco, too bad he sucks against Peach =) Oh yeah, my Bowser reputation is greater than any other of my reputations, I think I'm ranked as the 3rd best Bowser in the World by some noob forum. LOL And the Cape is sex. Love the guy to bits, and I think his Peach beat mine in NY o.O, just to put things in perspective. I wish I got to play you more, Falco's a cool bird. Take care

ComboTurtle - Actually very good marth considering the time you started playing competitive smash. Nice work and dedication buddy. I hope I gave you some helpful tips and I'm confident you'll get real good soon.

sorry i couldnt provide you with more of a challenge cao. im a bit out of practise at the moment - coming out of a good 6-month break. not a chosen break, mind you, but one that occured due to a lack of opposition and laziness on my part. hopefully by the time we next week, ill make you work a bit harder for your wins :P

p.s. kulla / pat, please organise to play smash some time this week. its only been 4 days, i know, but im starting to get withdrawals haha. i think about smash all the time, and often find myself practising wacheshining on an invisible controller :P
