AboutThe History of F-Zero World Many don't know that F-Zero World started as a small topic in Smashboards' gaming related forum. Prior to F-Zero GX's launch Metroid Killer created a small topic where he began to gather info about game from all over the web. The topic soon grew to gigantic sizes and was usually refered to around internet forums whenever somebody needed to know something about the game. In the summer of 2003 Metroid Killer contacted Gideon, who ran Smash World, a huge Smash Bros. network including the forums where Metroid Killer posted his topic in, and asked if it would be possible for them to team up and turn the great F-Zero GX topic into a website. Gideon accepted the offer without even craving anything from Metroid Killer. Gideon being the experienced website creator agreed to put the site together and host it on his server if Metroid Killer would make the design and update the site once it would be up.     Metroid Killer drew a whole lot of scetches before him and Gideon agreed on the final look. However they were short on time if they would launch the site parallel with the launch of the game at August 25. They had under a month to do it in. While Gideon worked hard on creating the actual website Metroid Killer began working on the many pages that would become the context of the site. On September the 2nd Metroid Killer and Gideon were finally ready to launch the site only a week after the American launch of F-Zero GX in celebration of the launch Gideon opened a room at his forums solely for F-Zero discussion. Metroid Killer then began to work extensively on the site to make sure that it grew bigger and bigger. However it prooved to be too hard to do for one man so Stealth Yoshi, Falcontress85 and latest Mekairinek joined the team. The site is still kickin' and there are still lots of stuff to add including the ever delayed encyclopedia.
