The F-Zero Grand Prix only features the top F-Zero pilots in the universe. They come from each corner of the different galaxies and are prepared to put their life on stake for a race in the infamous Grand Prix. Though this year a new rule has been aplied. Instead of the casual 30 pilots, we now see more than 40 pilots participating in the race. Still only 30 pilots can be on the track, so those who draw the short straw have to sit as leftovers on the bench. The F-Zero machines sport a unique feature: an anti-grav unit known as the "G-diffuser system". It allows them to hover, and a micro-plasma engine boosts them to super-sonic speeds.
