Steering Wheel
F-Zero GX supports Logitech's Force Feedback steering wheel. It's the only wheel out on the market with Nintendo's official license. To get the ultimate F-Zero GX experience you will defintely need this wheel. How else are you gonna play your own F-Zero AX in your house?
Let me show you some pros and cons.
Pros:
- It's a wheel... F-Zero GX is a racer... Guess what gives you the most realistic feel; The Gamecube controller or the Logitech wheel(with force feedback!)?
- The entire control scheme is remapped for the wheel, allowing the shift pedals to lean the craft left and right, and you can even doube tap them to side attack in either direction, so you attack by pressing the exact same buttons as you used in F-Zero X.
- Logitech's wheel got a 8.75 in a IGN review.
Cons:
- It's a bit expensive. To get both the wheel and pedals you have to pay around $80. Though you might find it cheaper at ebay etc.
- Some people might find it hard to adjust their wheel skills to a fast-paced game like F-Zero GX.
Here's a list of Gamecube games supporting Force Feedback: Downtown Run Hot Wheels Velocity X Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 Paris-Dakar Rally 2 Pro Rally 2002 Rally Championship Speed Challenge Burnout 2: Point of Impact Mario Kart: Double Dash!! F-Zero GX
A review of the wheel will soon be up in the Review section.
