I am trying to reinvent my mains right now i only have yoshi and am looking for feedback on other characters to pick up

I have been trying to reinvent my mains because i wasn't having much success with most of them. I dropped all of my mains except for Yoshi. I was wondering for advice to pick up other characters. I would prefer to keep my mains 3 or under.

I am looking for another character to main so far i have a yoshi luigi and sheik with a pocket mega man and falcon. I am looking for a character that is primarily defensive.
