Wow, Up-Smash is much better, thanks. Forward-Smash also has nice range and seems to have easier timing for me. The Standard-A ... going to take more practice, but when I managed it, it seems very worth learning.

Another nice change I forgot: Once you start the Turnip Pull animation you have the Turnip, even if hit out of the move. A very nice change from what it once was when going against a Shiek or Falco in Melee (lasers and needles messing up the pull). The timing on the Foward-Air is really easy...

I use the Gamecube. I tried the Classic for awhile, but had one issue. There are no grips for the palms of my hands. Also, having larger hands they end up going numb and cramping. If the Classic had grips (which the back seems to have an attatchment slot for) I'd use it over the Cube...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Sirlin's Scrub. Check out sirlin.net on 'playing to win'. It is another good read like this. I feel it gives a finer detailed description of what this thread calls a noob (usually called a Scrub).
