    Death in Creativity

Yep, there's a parallel. In our eyes, society might seem like it's changing slowly, but it's actually evolving quite quickly. Centuries of slavery of African peoples have existed, and in a fraction of that, they are equal citizens. Of course it's not perfect, but I'm sure you see the point...

    Looks Don't Matter?

Good post, pacman! You're right, many of the attributes we find physically attractive do have evolutionary and purposeful roots; women with large hips for baring children, men chasing young females for their reproductive potential, etc. This might still matter in some parts of the world, too...

    Death in Creativity

I think the fine arts community of my district is actually well-funded, but I knew this was far from the norm. An increase in creative programs won't hurt at all, but it still leaves too many problems for creativity in school. It's a logistical and society mindset issue. As difficult as they...

    The Fat Tax

There are a couple counter-points available right in your own post. If we're speaking of recession and being careful with money, it's typically the cheap foods (fast food, microwavables, etc) that are the unhealthy choices people make. And while I'm sure a cycle of depression and over-eating can...

    Death in Creativity

Many of us are speaking of personal creativity, nurturing artistic talent and how the school system is "killing" creativity by following a set path in education. Predictably, I agree to most of the debaters in here, but we also need to analyze exactly how difficult this is to practically...

Science and the Laws of Libel

It's true. A case-by-case basis would be much better, but a blanket ruling like this is severely detrimental to solid, factual debunkery. As Aesir said, "thankfully our legal system isn't set in stone", but precedents certainly have their weight in court. Also, not sure what Panda's Thumb is. xD

    The Fat Tax

Personally, I don't see this ever happening, either. But what about the concept of this fat tax in general? Some governments in Europe and such are more involved with their citizenry... from a non-US and more general standpoint, do you feel the government has a right to try and shape the health...

Quick question; why is Green Greens always banned? And Jon wants to know the same thing about Japes. lols

Zero Suit Samus Questions & Answers

Sometimes while I'm ledge-camping with down+B, ZSS will perform a second down+B jump off and away from the stage. Did I accidentally hold something down? It happens pretty rarely, but it has happened a couple times.

Ask a Qusestion. Get an Answer.

Neutral stages might be your best bet, if you don't have a character-specific CP for your opponent (ie, Green Greens for Lucario/ROB, Frigate for Olimar, etc). Just choose Smashville or Battlefield depending on your match-up... take Diddy to BF, or Smashville for chars with a good platform game.

Science and the Laws of Libel

The Premise: I once read an article (link: Telegraph) concerning a science writer named Simon Singh and his scrap with the chiropractic community. Singh claimed that many of the chiropractic practices used to treat children's ailments were "bogus", and the British Chiropractic Association...

The Past, Is It True or False?

For the most part, I believe we're much more objective about discerning the past today than we were in the past. The accessibility of information in our day and age make this so; humans are inquisitive by nature, and never before have we been endowed with so much knowledge at such ease. I...
