Montage Presents: The Peak, Already? Princeton, NJ! May 17th (update)

Well, I can't exactly feel concerned about walkoffs considering the other stuff that is possible, but all right, it's not up to me. I'm making an attempt to go this weekend, hopefully I won't run into trouble again.

Montage Presents: The Peak, Already? Princeton, NJ! May 17th (update)

I can't say I've ever seen anyone die to the Bulborb. Anyway, though, why would it be a bad thing if DK could do that during a small window of time on one stage when IC's can infinitely chaingrab anyone on any flat stage? If he manages to get a grab off close enough to the Bulborb during that...

Montage Presents: The Peak, Already? Princeton, NJ! May 17th (update)

I have to agree with what Slikvik said: For one thing, I don't really see how avoiding getting chaingrabbed is any different conceptually from avoiding getting spiked. Both will kill you at low percents, and only certain characters can do them. And even if there are differences, with the...

A better 'Super Armor List' Thread (4/30, 18:07 EST)

If possible, some testing could be done on Ganondorf's forward air. I believe I ran into super armor while playing against it, but I've only seen it happen once, and I imagine it must be only 1 or 2 frames if it's there at all. I don't think I was mistaken, but I'd never encountered it myself...

New Crew 1's Weekly Brawl Hoedown at Rutgers

As I said, I'm not arguing against these other stages I'm mentioning (except perhaps Corneria.) You're not the only one I've seen talk about Distant Planet, and I've seen complaints about the leaf platforms and the walkoff left side when it's dry, which is why I brought up Onett with its small...

New Crew 1's Weekly Brawl Hoedown at Rutgers

Onett has a bunch of low/oddly placed platforms much like Distant Planet does. It also has short walkoff edges, and small boundaries in general. Also, the roof of the house on the right gets in the way if you try to jump while right next to the wall on either side, you hit it and immediately...

New Crew 1's Weekly Brawl Hoedown at Rutgers

I didn't mind Big Blue too much to be honest, but this is completely different. There you had to react quickly or you'd get swept off the stage and die, especially if you were sent sprawling, and then you'd still have to contend with where the stage sent you. Then there was the whole moving cars...

New Crew 1's Weekly Brawl Hoedown at Rutgers

I honestly think Distant Planet is fine. The water on the left isn't like Big Blue at all, since it pushes you back toward the stage, you grab the ledge, and even if the ledge is occupied, you can usually immediately up-B to the main platform since it's passthrough and close enough to the ledge...

Montage Presents: No Nonsense, Brawl 2.0 - Princeton, NJ - Mar 29, 08 (Updated!)

I really do hate Corneria. If I made a list of my least favorite stages in Brawl it would go something like: 1. New Pork City 2. The Summit 3. Corneria 4. Mario Bros. 5. Skyworld It's not the camping alone that's the problem, I'll leave that discussion to others. I just simply dislike...

NJ Finder - Tournament Finder Updated (10/8) See new thread for Brawl Rankings

I honestly don't know what you all are on about... I haven't often had noticeable lag in 1v1 online matches, maybe 10% of opponents, more or less. Even west coasters for the most part, and I suspect one guy in England as well. And I'm not playing with anything special, just wireless cable. But I...

    SHing fairs and bairs

For kicks on the way down from a shorthop, just practice a bit in training mode and it shouldn't be too bad. If you mean on the way up, it's got to be done immediately as you jump, rolling from jump to attack. Tested it out against a few characters: Metaknight: Just could not get the...

    NYC/NJ Is Looking To Brawl!

My code: 4940-5102-1915 Wii is wireless to a cable connection. I'm in west New Jersey. Please PM or say something if you're going to add me, since my friends list is already getting on the full side.

    Zelda Online Wi-Fi Impressions

I've done decently well online so far, but I don't think I get too much lag most of the time. The couple times I have been laggy, it's been pretty terrible. Not so much due to the sweetspots, though, I think. I don't really find myself using those moves all that much in Brawl (though maybe...

Is there anyway to recover from under a slanted slope?

I messed around with this earlier - Falling a bit further than you normally would and casting it diagonally up and away from the platform seemed to work.

New Crew 1's Weekly Brawl Hoedown at Rutgers

Thanks for the info, especially with the Rutgers maps. There's one more thing I'd like to ask, if you have any idea if there's a method to bridge this gap shown by the green arrow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/One_Alternate/njtransitmap.png I'm in Hunterdon, near the end of...
