    Diagonal tilts

old king coal, I'm not sure about Brawl, but in Melee you could angle certain attacks, such as some f-tilts (and I think Samus' F-smash) with the joystick. The differences were very subtle, not really major, I would say you shouldn't worry about it.

Brawl - More balanced than Melee? Lie or truth?

Melee in all likelihood far surpassed the level of technicality and competitiveness of any Guilty Gear, as it was far more played, the second-most popular tournament video game of all time, and new techniques continued to be discovered for years after the game's release. Taking into...

Scar on the Melee vs Brawl debate: What does competitive really mean?

I'm sorry if my post was similar, but I have no idea which post you're talking about as I haven't sifted through the 130 pages of repetitious argument that this thread consists of. I certainly didn't plagiarize anybody.

Scar on the Melee vs Brawl debate: What does competitive really mean?

Wall o' Text \/ The two huge problem with Brawl, maybe the only problems, are simplification and “protection” of bad players by the game's engine. First off: simplification. In melee, you had a huge amount of options. You could wavedash a variety of attacks, SHFFL, dashdance and bait...

Brawl will have backwards progression (which is a bad thing)

Something Bizarre I noticed Everyone in this thread so far has been referring to "Melee" as the game that came out in 2001, and using "Brawl" to describe the game that came out on March 9. Does anyone else think that's a bit weird? Edit: I realised once I had posted that for some reason the...

Perfect combos are just as bad as Tripping

Sorry, but hitstun is your punishment for letting yourself get hit. This is exactly why people complain about combos being gone. In melee, slip-ups would be punished severely, because people could combo you from 0-70 in extreme cases. In brawl, letting yourself get hit (ie sloppy/imperfect...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

"The college scene" in this case being whatever college you go to, which is isolated from the wider smash community. You beat a couple of guys who are just nooby as you are and you let it go to your head, honestly believing you even have a chance of beating anybody half decent. Nintendo has...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

The problem with items IS randomness so if the Snake example isn't about randomness why are you bringing it up? Huh. You're trying to justify ****, and also trying to justify the use of items in tournaments. Fitting, isn't it? The last paragraph had such bad grammar, such disjointed...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

First off, if setting items to high completely wrecks the game, and setting items to medium means they appear only about 20% less, doesn't that mean that setting items to medium at least partially wrecks the game? Wouldn't it be the smartest thing to do to take the obvious path and remove items...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

I'm gonna keep posting this until you stop ignoring the questions you can't answer and stop spewing the same crap over and over. HAHAHAHAHA. How the hell does someone as stupid as you even manage to TYPE  ? You probably played for $5 with 3 or 4 other noobs on Hyrule Temple in a...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

HAHAHAHAHA. How the hell does someone as stupid as you even manage to TYPE  ? SURE you went to a tournament. You probably played for $5 with 3 or 4 other noobs on Hyrule Temple in a free-for all. Using items takes NO SKILL. NONE WHATSOEVER. You walk over to the item, press A and then...

    So...none items user....cant adapt?

Holy Sh*t are you a dumb*ss. Using items in tournaments is akin to having people throw rocks on a tennis court during a serious match. Sure, it would add "strategy" (which would consist of picking up items and throwing them or, in the tennis example, aiming at the rock to make the ball bounce...

Is there a bin to avi converter

The "video" only tells the game exactly what buttons you pressed at what time you pressed. Plus, .BIN is most certainly not a Nintendo proprietary format, it is basically used to store raw binary data. Your videos are indeed "useless", BUT if you replay the video and record it with a gamebridge...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer.

Brawl Source Code ? MeleeKirby has hacked Brawl's moveset: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=iuLHui7omLQ How did he do it? Some sort of AR code? Or did he have Brawl's source code somehow? If so, where could one get this source code? Thanks.
