@ kirbykaze: Okay, duly noted. In terms of playing patiently, how can I help develop that? My thoughts are that in practice/playing with friends, I should just slow down my general gameplay, and focus on them as opposed to myself. On a sidenote, against sidestep-happy and shielding chars...

Let's use an example. Say you knock Marth off the stage, left of Dreamland64. You knocked him out with an f-air, and are now running towards the ledge to do the needle --> ledge grab. 1.) Run towards the left 2.) Jump (does not matter if it's full, or short hop) 3.) Tap right, immediately...

@ Teba: Assuming you mean the needle cancel in mid air, i.e, needle cancel --> ledge grab, it's simple. Press Z. Will interrupt the "charging" of your needles, and return you to a neutral position in the air, where you can grab the ledge, aerial, etc.
