    Banana purposes/what they're used for?

    I just recently started maining Diddy and getting in to the Smash scene. I can beat my friends pretty well as Diddy and I can handle myself against 7-9 level bots pretty well but I still don't see what bananas do and why I should use them. Can someone explain?
