Smash Back Room Weekly Character Discussions! FINAL UPDATES: Ness + Lucas. All done!!

Ice Climbers are not terrible at approaching/need to approach.

Keep in mind, even though they mention the character is not good at approaching, doesn't mean all characters with bad approaches are viable options. If a character doesn't need to approach, like Zelda, they are not likely the next week's character.

    pokemon trainer rule

I think all 3 pokemon and PT as one character should be placed on the tier list. On to the idea of sticking to one, and having to stick to one if you choose to in a tournament match is stupid. Any good defensive player would absolutely crush you.

Pit. Also, the last hint was worded kind of strangely. It said Dedede's recovery was gimpable, but the summary simply describes it as punishable.

Luigi's recovery is still somewhat gimpable, Up B is pure vertical, and I believe you can just block side B like Ike's.

I won OBC's second tournament! (Videos Uploaded)

I watched the fifth match. You still made some mistakes you can't blame on lag and online play. Sometimes when you were really close you would use your blaster rather than your jab or f-tilt, or your reflector instead of a grab for instance.

Yeah, I was actually playing as Luigi earlier today, and I change my guess to him.

I'm going with Zelda as my official guess. Runner Ups: Lucario: Recovery never seemed that great. Pit: Has no problem with spammers. Bowser: See Lucario.

Pit seems to fit perfectly, except Pit has no problem with spammers, as he has two defensive B moves and the B move best suited for spamming in the game.

    Good openings for Pokemon change?

Yeah, it didn't come up when I searched. I think maybe I searched for change. It's still a little bare though.

    Good openings for Pokemon change?

One of the biggest problems with Pokemon trainers are problems with fatigue and changing. Any strategies for creating safe openings to change in, either for all pokemon or an individual pokemon? Obviously getting the opponent off the ledge is always a good way to make an opening. I find this...

    ITT, amazing match endings/KO's.

And people wonder why some people prefer Melee.

New discovery: Infinite jumping with most characters! (STOP POSTING, USE NEW THREAD)

This could have been said of wavedashing in melee, but it became a huge part of play.

Will SSBB Overtake Halo 3 in Sales?

Also to consider, there are STILL people who want Wiis that don't have them. That can't really be said for the 360.

    New win condition: a margin

BTW, I agree this would take too long, and would have to be done by matches and not stock, as I said earlier in the thread. THEORETICALLY, it would be the best way to determine who is more skilled.
