Mine got further into the updating process but I got the "EXCEPTION DSI OCCURED" error. Which usually means the SD card wasn't formatted. But I DID format it. I removed everything on the card, then downloaded the Homebrew launcher onto it, put it in the Wiiu, and went from there. Not sure how...

Got everything set up with the new SD card. I haven't tested it for an extremely long time however I had forgotten that I had the Homebrew Channel installed on my Wii (U). So I used the "with homebrew and no wifi" download. That, coupled with the SD card, might have fixed it. It hasn't locked...

I just took a look at the one from the 3DS XL. It simply says it's a 2 GB SD card, not SDHC. There's a chance I may have swapped it with a different card before and don't remember though In any case I just went out and bought a SanDisk 2 GB standard SD card that I'll use solely for PM.
