Why I'm Happy that Wavedashing isn't back.

I'm with GamerGuy09. It looks silly in execution, it's unnecessary, and while it wasn't some sort of heretical abuse of the physics engine, it also added nothing to the game for me. It's not like it's a staple mechanic of the franchise. It's a side-effect of jumping and dodging that showed up in...

Who is your favorite character (or who will you main?)

Wario. He's just freakin' AWESOME. I'll probably just main whoever I'm good with, though.

Brawl's competitiveness will determine it's greatness in the end

The greateness of some of those people is debateable. For instance, I find Shakespeare to be ridiculously overrated. Garfield USED to be pretty great. Connect Four is fun as hell. Not to mention the fact that all those "great but unpopular" examples WERE extremely popular at one point, and still...

Brawl's competitiveness will determine it's greatness in the end

    1. Fine, fine. I'll rephrase. I feel that this "chunk" you speak of is not so integral to sales that Nintendo would pander to the smaller competitive demographic as some strange, circituous route to getting people to play the game. 2. It shouldn't be taken seriously. It's a game. I'm not...

Brawl's competitiveness will determine it's greatness in the end

    1. I'd argue that casual players and the actual game itself get far more people to play than competitive players, honestly. 2. You don't need to bet money on matches, turn off items, learn to wavedash, or operate on the tier system to be dedicated to maintaining or taking part in a forum...

Brawl's competitiveness will determine it's greatness in the end

Yes, that's sort of my point. If Melee was limited in depth, YOU might not be interested in Brawl. Casuals still would. And casuals make up teh majority of the audeince. And I don't know about your idea that competive players are responsible for most people getting the game. I'd say casuals...

Brawl's competitiveness will determine it's greatness in the end

Look, just because a couple techniques were taken out doesn't mean that others don't remain (in fact, we KNOW that some do) or that there won't be new ones (like this "Ink Drop" I've heard about). Not that it really matters. I mean, Smash Bros. is a series conceived as an easy-to-learn...

    Mii Mode

Miis are just BARELY more advanced than a higher-end stick figure. Anything they can do, a stick figure could easily do. Shooting at ducks and aliens? I could go draw that right now. In a tank? Just as easy, not to mention the fact that the Miis aren't even shown IN the tank, but are merely an...

    Mii Mode

Yes, but: 1. Melee was rushed. This game's been delayed JUST so that kinda' rush won't occur this time. 2. G&W is a major part of Nintendo's history. The Miis are just some Johnny-come-lately avatar system.

    Mii Mode

Badly designed, graphically low-end caricature of yourself Vs. Some of the greatest characters ever conceived with amazing graphics! Taking place in beautifully-crafted levels from Nintendo's history! Hooray? :ohwell: Yeah... The Subspace Emmisary looks pretty open-ended and all, but COME...

    Mii Mode

I'm sorry, but Miis are a bad idea on SOOO many levels. 1. They're incredibly, ridiculously generic. They're just AVATARS, people, and not particularly good ones. What's the point of playing one of the coolest crossover games of all time, where tons fo your favourite video game characters are...

    SMYN: Episode 15 (10/14) - Feeling Blue

Actually, I heard Sonic's neutral B was the homing attack, at least in the air. IGN (or, at least, one of those reviews) said that, when using it in the air, Sonic launched himself at the nearest enemy and comboed him/her/it in his ball form.

    The Most Logical Choices

    K. Rool's a lot more liekly than the other 2, though I don't want him in either. The list's getting better, though.

Brawl Character movesets: share, rate, and comment!

Sonic: B: Spindash, of course. Charge and release Rollout-style. B Smash:Light Speed Attack. Attempts, but not too accurately, to home in on enemies nearby and directly ahead. Lots of glowy "charged-up" effects and then a blur as he rapidly homing attacks foreward. Might sound a bit cheap...
