Trying to find a secondary main.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G14tcX4cIQ This is only obligatory. Personally, I find Meta Knight and Zelda work rather well, and have some of the best of both sides of the spectrum. Nimble and KOing early, or slower, heavier, and KOs even earlier with a wide variety of attacks. One has a...

Let's take some time to talk about how great Pound is.

The long-lasting hitbox is amazing. It's pretty much the only approach I use until I can fair or bair at close range in the air. Probably her best attack in terms of utility this time around.

    Brawl's Jigglypuff makes me mad.

It's an uphill battle for Jiggs in Brawl. Generally, Pound is still as useful as ever with that long-lasting hitbox, and her rollout is actually pretty good at KOing if you can pull it out at the right times. Generally, you want to be using fair more than bair in this game, because fair...

Far from Extinction - A Yoshi combo vid

Impressive. I wouldn't have considered dair for edgeguarding. The desperation KOs with the egg throws were hilarious.

    d-air useful?

I find it problematic that I cannot use it on a grounded opponent because they can always attack me out of my landing lag. Does that mean I am doing it wrong? In the air, dair is amazing, though. It's what I usually pull out against someone who tries to assault for the vertical KO in the air...

    Wavedash (Vid)

It isn't. It's just a momentum gimmick that used to be great in Melee. However, this time around, it lost many of its properties and practical purposes, so it's just for show.

    Spot-Slide/Wave-Slide. (Video Added)

The slide serves no practical purpose that wouldn't produce the same result if you simply stopped moving and spot-dodged. You are still invulnerable for the same number of frames, and the distance you cover is the same even if you were to continue running in the first place. Hell, in the event...

What control scheme do you use and why?

Basically the default Gamecube configuration, only with tap jump disabled. It's what I've been used to due to Melee, and I really don't see anything I could do that would improve on my playstyle instead of causing confusion. I guess the default has grown on me.

    Wavedash (Vid)

Interesting physic, but as it's been said, there will be very limited uses of it. If I ever play Luigi or Sheik, I guess I have some new gimmick to abuse between stocks.

    Spot-Slide/Wave-Slide. (Video Added)

Sheik is used it, as that was the only character that was spot-dodging after a dash at those times in the video. :| This crusade to defend the tactic is with good intentions, but this really doesn't require that much defense if the majority of players don't even find use or practicality in...

    the discovery of AT's

I doubt there will ever be a time where we've broken the game down to that level. There's simply too much that can happen for us to know absolutely every application of every character's moves and the physics of the game, especially considering that a lot of the ATs we know of so far weren't...

joke thread: proof that master chief is in brawl

*facepalm @ some posts in this topic* Really, really unnecessary.

Tactics that are barely punishable = Brawl being broken more than Melee ever was...

Melee was like that because of the almost entirely revamped system, and the lack of experience we had with it. Brawl's general tournament goers are usually the ones who stuck with Melee through thick and thin, all 7 years. 7 years of experience we didn't have from 64 to Melee. We now know...

Tactics that are barely punishable = Brawl being broken more than Melee ever was...

I honestly wouldn't count on that. Can you even begin to think of what could possibly slow those two down other than an infinite that affects them?

    Best Character Tag Team

It would have to be double Zelda or double Pikachu from my experience, assuming team attack is off. They can literally create a wall of attacks back to back from each other that makes approaches near impossible. In Zelda's case, double Din's Fire or Fsmash/Usmash, and in Pika's case, I'm pretty...
