Don't think I've posted here - I'm a GA Samus main, been playing for a few months now. I mostly use orange skin. I play under the tag Ben%, but so far I've only been to one tournament. I'm going to college next year (UGA), so hopefully I'll be able to play with more people.

Yeah, I did make that assumption. Dash-cancelled fmash can be good at finishing combos/getting people offstage, but wd-ftilt is definitely more versatile, and much better for spacing.

Yeah, this is definitely where I've made the least progress so far, especially the mentality of being grabbed over eating attacks. Part of it is also that I'm not sure when I should shield. I was just going to say I've started doing this to help my spacing, and one of my friends even commented...

IMO, R+A is a lot more comfortable to do than Z because you don't have to move your index finger off R. Other than that it's just preference, though. 343 is pretty on-point, I just want to add that I'm pretty sure run-cancel fsmash comes out faster than wavedash ftilt

I'm sure everyone knows that if you get hit after using Abandon Ship, you can get it back by pressing a, meaning you can use his recovery again, including the car dash if you haven't already used it. This can easily be tested in training, by grabbing a mechakoopa and using abandon ship before it...

It doesn't come out fast enough to punish on reaction, though. If an opponent rolls into you during the car dash, it's on them.
