    Anybody else mildly disappointed?

Honestly, Pac-Man's moveset turned out way better than I was expecting and moreso than anything that I could have "made." Before the trailer I was expecting something like: B - Pac-Dot Throw (from PMW1) Side B - Rev Roll Up B - Pac-Dot Chain thing Down B - Butt Bounce but the way it came...

A better GCN controller? Hori Battle Pad for Wii U - Review!

OK, so I got the Luigi version a couple of weeks ago & am loving it! I don't have Smash Bros. for Wii U to test it out on yet, but it is really nice for games that aren't "optimized" for the normal Classic Controller layout like...well, Smash Bros., Sonic Colors, non-SNES VC games, Mario...

Wii U GameCube Adapter now fully functional on Windows

I haven't played that in a WHILE, but if you get a program like Joy2Key to map the GCN buttons to the keyboard controls you have set, that should theoretically work.

Smash Wii U Characters are happier on Wii U

Smash 4 as a whole (3DS and Wii U) takes itself a lot less seriously than Brawl aesthetically, and it's something I'm thankful for. The art direction and tone is so much more appropriate for the characters.

A better GCN controller? Hori Battle Pad for Wii U - Review!

It's a classic controller "disguised" as a GameCube controller, so I'd imagine it would plug into the Wii Remote. EDIT: ah, Mechageo beat me to it! But yeah, I get your point.

A better GCN controller? Hori Battle Pad for Wii U - Review!

True. I guess what makes this particularly enticing for me is the possibility for its use outside of the context of Smash Bros. Unlike the Wii U Pro Controller, it would work in Wii Mode, and unlike the GameCube controller adapter, it's not exclusive to Smash Wii U. I still plan to get the...

A better GCN controller? Hori Battle Pad for Wii U - Review!

I remember saying a while back that I would pick up a couple of "GameCube Classic Controllers" from PDP, but I didn't know those were made by the same people that made the GameStop GameCube controllers. With those, I've had a little bit of trouble with buttons being unresponsive, so the Hori...

Smash Wii U 8 Player Smash (Almost) Confirmed!

I think that's the point ;) Now, personally, I dunno if I'd have any use for this, since the chances of me being able to meet up with 7 of my irl friends while they (or me) actually aren't busy are slim (plus I think have just under the amount of controllers I'd need for that). But HEY, I'm all...

Smash Wii U Nintendo says GameCube Controller Adapter only works with Smash Bros

Oh, I guess regardless of how the adapter is supported on the Wii U past Smash (if at all), there's always potential PC stuff to mess around with. I know there's plenty of GC USB adapters floating around already, but the 4-in-1 deal here for basically the same price it would be for an unofficial...

Smash Wii U Nintendo says GameCube Controller Adapter only works with Smash Bros

ayyyyy Dance Central fans in the house Though really, I feel differently about the adapter & Dance Central because this is kinda the opposite situation. With Dance Central, the game is exclusive to one peripheral that supports other games, but with this adapter situation, the peripheral is...

Smash Wii U Predictions if only the Wii U version came out?

Ice Climbers would be back. and...yeah. Don't get me wrong, it is a bit of a pity that we won't see all of the veteran franchises (well, except Metal Gear I guess, but that's for other reasons as far as I'm aware) represented in what just might be the definitive version of Smash Bros. for a lot...

For Pac-Man fans: What disappointed you guys in his presence in Smash4?

I see posts like this, & I used to agree with them being a big Sonic fan & all, but in retrospect, what else could they have really added that wouldn't have just been even more variations of the Spin Attack? Heck, in his own games up until Unleashed, that was more or less all he did. I will say...

Is there any content in this game to suggest Pac-Man has ever had a game past the arcade era?

Pac-Land was originally an arcade game though. You could draw some parallels to the Pac-Man World series in parts of his moveset but it would be a bit of a stretch, IMO - Pac-Man has something that looks like PMW2's flip kick, yes, but so do Mario, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Fox, Falco, Zero Suit...

    Smash Series Confessions

Played the legacy games in reverse order; I played Brawl first, then Melee, and 64 last. Though Gamecube and Classic are definitely my favorite control options, the "shortcuts" offered with them (Z-grabbing and C-smashing) never really clicked with me. (Related, I like using the Tap Jump...

    Super Smash Bros Headcanons

There's this interesting idea regarding Master Core's "role" in the previous Smash games: (apologies if this has been shown already, did a quick search/glace through the thread and didn't see this!)
