I'm working on "SSBM v2.00 -> 2.02"
No one has provided a "balance" mod without changing weight, air speed, character playstyles, or even completely changing moves.
All of these things are important to the vanilla game knowledge, and I believe it's the reason SD Remix, or other mods have never taken off. PM/P+ gets the benefit of being it's own game with it's own mechanics/characters. Melee is a game we've labbed for 19 years, so mods don't get the luxury to be it's own thing.
I'm trying to provide a mod where you can play all the really cool characters in the game. Since we got 19 we barely use in the meta, or at strong locals. I wouldn't call it a balance mod, more so a confidence booster. Removing a few weaknesses so you feel as confident as picking Falcon or Peach. An underdog, but a competent one in the right hands.
