    I think its because if he wasnt wearing the mask he would be too cute and cuddly to have anyone take him seriously. I think its more for intimidation.

    Easy way to Unlock Mr. Game & Watch?

    yeah, im sure the subspace em is the best way to unlock any character, though im not sure if that takes the place of the other requirements, sakurai wasnt really clear on that, or else i just dont understand the wording on the smashbros site, lol

    Does anybody REALLY use Game and Watch?

    I use mr game & watch alot, aside from kirby, he was one of my most used characters. Aside from spamming the crap out of battles with his chef move, mr game and watch is a pretty good character and i think that everyone should try him out. Im looking forward to his parachute ability in brawl!
