Back Air -5/-4 or -4/-3 on shield ?!

Hi everyone, Did I miss something ? Last time I checked, Back air was -7/-6 and some other site still refer to that and today when I looked up Ultimate framedata and the smashboards spreadsheet I saw something different... Wadzewut? When? Did I miss something else ? I mean, 2 frames less on...

Our Hour has Arrived, Rejoice Pit Mains!

For most non-pit players, they go through the patch without knowledge of pit inconsistencies - "up air kills earlier but it's not impressive" - "Down tilt combo now that's good" - "Down special was already op" Well... down special's fine but landing with pit never was the issue, down tilt combo...

Our Hour has Arrived, Rejoice Pit Mains!

Upair buff might be the real thing for the whole pit playstyle as it becomes a consistent juggle tool It's doesn't send as much horizontally: - Hardly influenced by LSI anymore => More reliable kill option (also improved by the knockback buff) - Doesn't send your opponent at the other side of...

How to play this character properly

After some tries, chainning Joker or Shiek on PS2 is easy, doesn't even need him to miss an initial tech. It's just about hitting with the first hit of the up tilt, it will drag down Joker and ground falling is untechable. This first hit will make joker bounce out of range of the second hit...

I made a Google Sheet detailing KO percentages for Pit's Upperdash Arm

That's fine material you got there. If you want to push your knowledge further, you should try to check airborne Side B. Airborne is safer since you bounce if you hit the shield and is less punishable (still heavily punishable tho). But I believe Airborne side B kill at later percents.

    Edgeguarding in General

There's match where you want to win and match where you want to learn. Edgeguarding is a risk/reward part you must fail a lot before getting the hang of it. Positioning, timing, reversal and wall tech, matchup. There's a lot. And if you're trying to win, stage control is safer choice. If you...

    Edgeguarding in General

Let's talk about Pit arrow properties: Arrows knockback angle is close to 45°, which means that any amount of horizontal knockback is also given in height (Height can even be superior with the best DI). If the character draw more horizontal air speed than falling speed, we basically help him to...

What Color Pit Do You Use and Why?

Yeah, Dark pit has better skin, something about color saturation maybe. I'm playing all color except white Pit that I find hard to see on stage with too much light.

    The Problem with Pit

We do lose most of our combos before kill percents, but grab isn't the only way to grind some damages, Down & up tilt, landing Nair/Dair can do it to, allowing Pit to put some pressure grounded and airborne. Pit has the tools to punish spotdodge, the "most pressuring defense" of smash ultimate...

    To address Hero's concerns.

That means all fire emblem & pokemon characters, Cloud and Joker ? Actually the closest representation of a crit is a sweet spotted move... OR RATHER a critical hit in RPG is a representation of your character sweetspotting its attack. I would like you to address another concerns : Nintendo's...

    Nair strings

In early percents Pit's almost as potent as Squirtel at covering everything. Landing N.air is indeed a free pass to many followup at any percent but landing Nair is far to be a safe landing option. The fact that Pit isn't much played and that N.air have no shieldstun often leads people to...

    Nair strings

As early Down Throw conversion, D.throw > Full Jump D.air > Air Jump N.air, is true from 0 to 40%. It's one of the most reliable and easy combo to practice and add +23% to your down throw (30% without pummeling). Pit's true combos are listed in this guide...

    Patch 4.0.0 Pit Buffs

For clarity purpose, correct me if I'm wrong: Pit Neutral Attack 1: Increased attack speed. => jab first hit got faster activation, what about first avaibable frame after that ? Pit Up Tilt Attack: Reduced vulnerability. => Less ending lag ? Pit Down Smash Attack: Extended launch distance when...

How to play this character properly

I think Nair on shield to unsafe to be worth the conditioning useless you're able to consistently cross-up and fake cross-up. Fair might be a bit safer and can easily poke (fair/dtilt mixup ?). I find myself really weak on my grounded neutral and I'm pretty sure it goes with a "go for aerials"...

All the buffs Pit needs and wants

I agree, my point is that's might be how the game works, and not Pit's Dair. I should look into others characters but i got the hypothesis than grounded spikes give "stun" only if the character is bounced. I don't have my switch on hand to try it out. Pit spike is actually one of the weakest...
