Response to concerns I’m sorry for not getting to this sooner. It looks like there are several misconceptions and doubts about our tournament and our charity. Let me take this chance to address everyone’s points. Perhaps you should’ve; then you would not have misinterpreted what you overheard...

64 will happen at the same time as melee/brawl. So the 64 doubles will take place as the melee/brawl doubles are going on and the singles for all three will start hopefully at the same time, although we may start one sooner than the other if there is a large disparity in entrants between...

There absolutely is a smash 64 tournament. in fact, we will be having doubles and singles for 64, melee, and brawl. The only caveat being, they will be happening at the same time.

Also, for those of you on campus, please be sure to put up flyers for our tournament in dorms and classroom buildings, wherever you do not see any. we have 3-4 days left to hype this tournament to resident Ohio State students, and we would like to get a strong showing from them for all three...

I believe MK will be legal; it is unity ruleset but I think MK is not banned until after APEX this January. I'm sure alphazealot can clarify, if he disagrees.

If you can't go for the tournament, you should at least come for friendlies during or after the tournament. It's too bad you can't go:c

Thanks to everyone who came out to both the brawl and melee smashfests tonight. It was great getting to meet all of you- be sure to spread the word across campus and beyond about our tournaments and don't forget to hang up our tournament fliers around campus!

Smashfest For those interested, there is a brawl smashfest going on right now (8pm) in Archer house lobby. It's a dorm on campus and someone will be down there to let you in.

Also, is anyone going to be bringing a recording set up? For either brawl or melee? The person who used to have it for our group is not going to be there so we have no recording device as of right now. We may try to muster something last minute but we have larger priorities right now.

Just a reminder, we will be accepting set ups to waive venue fees for our event. A full set up is considered a gaming console, the game disc, and all relevant save data. We will only waive your venue fee if we end up using your set up so be sure to arrive and get registered early.

Well, we were approached quite often during our first tournament about holding a smash 64 tournament as a co-main event, especially by a lot of Ohio State students, rather than smashboards people. I would assume that most smashboards people viewing this thread would not want to enter a 64...
