I've noticed that too. I sometimes browse the other character threads, and on all of the CG threads, Zelda is on the list of characters it won't work on at all. I'm not sure, but I'm sure most, if not all, are not doable against her.

She looks so much better in TP than she did in any other game. Purple is a million times better than pink, and brunette works so much better for her character. She was originally a brunette anyway. Its not the first time they changed her look.

Ness, Lucas, Olimar and Game & Watch are probably the four toughest opponents for Zelda, in my experience. I also have trouble with a certain Luigi player.
