Ever since I picked up Palutena as an experimental secondary that's what I've noticed too. As for Ryu's damage... Yeah. Yeah that's a thing. I too get caught by it a lot, I still haven't gotten used to suddenly being "BAM 80%"

Yeah, people underestimate Palutena. I mean, she's got a lot of end-lag for some moves, can be fairly predictable, but damn if you're a good player with her you kick ass. But because she's underestimated, you probably wouldn't get as many rage quitters

Well, speaking of ejecting the cart, that just happened to me for the first time; I beat a guy with my Shulk (I'm still learning) and so he pulls out his own Shulk. Not gonna lie I like Nairs that either move in a circle around the fighter or hit both sides. For some reason they're unexpected, and in some cases combo well with a short-hop advance

I often continuously fight people I know are better than me, sure it just buffs their wins and gives me losses, but I don't really care about win-loss ratio. I just want to get better, and it's honestly really fun to learn how they play.

Wow, the thread's still going. Well, I'm not the best player but Roy is my best character, and yesterday I was doing pretty well against this guy in FG. He beat me a few times with a Rosalina but when I got a lucky win he switched characters. I proceeded to win the four following matches and...
