    I don't disagree that the way the game is played now is at a different speed and rhythm. I do think there's some value in exploring alternative movement schemes, just as there was when wavedashing was discovered in Melee, before anyone got good enough with it to turn it into a positive maneuver.

    Yeah, I never said no other characters could fox trot or dash dance, just that it's difficult on other characters to do it consistently and quickly. I've tried with other characters and it just doesn't seem like a positive maneuver no matter the situation, or that it would be worthwhile to learn...

    Yeah, I'm coming from a Melee background so I was pleasantly surprised to get this level of movement and control from Lucina. Helps a lot with spacing, even though it's not as important for Lucina as it is for Marth. And yeah like you said, for mindgaming your opponent it's pretty awesome.

    Ah, a correction, the NAir has 15 frames of lag. 10 frames if you're using smooth landers. Interesting, BAir has more landing lag than FAir at 19, but I think it's easier to pull back with the BAir and that's why it feels safer to use.

    I'm curious if you've gotten good at the roll cancelled grab or not. I can't hit it consistently at all, the timing seems so hard to be, harder than even wavedashing initially.

    I think it depends on your personal style. For me, I pill-spam a lot and it's really not effective against shorter characters like jiggs or pikachu >:[

    Technically there is landing lag for the NAir, about 12 frames. Still significantly lower than 18 frames on the FAir.

    I think just a back throw at a fair percentage should be good. Really, you shouldn't be thinking about it as a specific combo. A character like Lucina is more flow-based.     Are you using a GCN controller? If you change the c-stick to attack as opposed to smash, I think you can avoid triggering fastfall if you just flick the stick down. I could be wrong though, I haven't tested this myself.

    Been messing around with some dash dancing + fox trot with Marth. He and Lucina appear to be the only ones capable of doing these with any sort of consistency and speed. Here's something I recorded vs a lvl 9 CPU cause I get too much latency playing online.
