Its a fine thread, and a good idea if they decide to stray away from melee and brawl mechanics for smash 4. But please, remove the word broken. it doesnt make any sense there, and pretty much ruins the credibility of your thread.

APEX was a huge event, and a huge success (for the most part) i think that they should use the most recent successful rule-set at EVO. 2013 is a long year, maybe for evo 2014 they'll include more stages. Even if it doesnt, im still very curious into what makes a stage ban-able under the current...

I guess The greatest thing about being a "grassroots" community is that TOs are able to customize their rulesets to whatever they want. So many different types of playing can be showcased based on their desired rulesets. Personally, im in favor of more stages is inherently better for the game...

What I wanted to say with that post is why can't people use what the stage gives them instead of getting rid of the stage? like mastering stage control during the lava segments, or learn how to take advantage of a campy fox's mistakes on rainbow cruise. Also, anything that has a major effect...

WHAT MAKES A STAGE BROKEN? and why is that more broken than a characters given abilities? (I.e. fox shine is ok, but lava is bad?) Has anyone addressed this? or does anyone want to discuss it with me?

as opposed to playing with a ruleset that strongly leaves your characters with fewer ways of playing to its strengths? ill explain my thoughts in more detail if interested ^^ then y not random the char selection too?

i think this does need to be discussed openly because of how the current rule-sets are made and accepted by those in the back room. this allows everyone to post their thoughts and possibly show a TO that alternative rule-sets might provide a better (or at least different) tournament experience

To say one has "an advantage" on a certain stage is simply a matter of opinion based on how they play the game/matchup. The game hasnt been broken down into a science enough yet to determine whether or not one stage is inherently an insta-win for a particular character. Like, ya, marth vs peach...
