Geez, people sure do get anal here, don't they? All I said was that my Marth was having extreme problems with projectile characters. I played against my brother's Olimar and some guy's Diddy Kong. I'm going by my experience...my input, my opinion. It doesn't reflect anyone's but my own...

I tried Wifi Online...my Marth is having trouble with projectile-characters as well, especially those who main Olimar or Diddy Kong. Marth is good....but there are more usable characters that can beat him.

I lost my Round 2 match as well. Last tournament, we were able to use any character, even those outside the starting roster. Well, I dominated with Marth. I couldn't say the same in Round 2 though. We couldn't use any unlockables, so I had to start from scratch. I practiced with Shiek...

Sorry, but that doesn't work (I stated it in my first post). You can't go over to Shiek and click on her icon... The only icon that appears on the character select screen in tournament mode is Zelda, and when you're bracket is up, all you can do is press A (Entry). Help!

It's different from the standard Brawl VS where you can click on the Shiek icon and have her as your starting main in the match. However, I went to tournament mode and only saw Zelda without the Shiek icon. Help please?

I won my second time around. Mine was kinda luck based (I used that item of Kirby's where you get the three parts and aim for a OHKO)...I did that item three times for three matches, but I relied on Marth's moves a lot...but still, there were a lot of good players there. It really could have...

In all honesty, it was hell. I hated waking up to an update that was extremely pointless and happy when I woke up to new characters for updates. Leak threads were interesting albeit flame wars. I'm pretty sure everyone is pretty glad that these days are over. We can finally play Brawl.

There's a thread for this. But to answer your question, most tournaments will start at 10. It will be a Brawl tournament (unless your Gamestop is weird and whatnot).

I will admit, the Gamestop tournament by no means has the the setup that most people would love to have (Stock-timed, different use of controllers, no items), but it is a feat none-the-less. It requires SOME skill... I would love to play the winners of the Brawl tournaments tonight.

Don't be overconfident... It's good to have that mindset, but don't let it interfere with your performance. You might well be the best smasher in your area. Anyways, my brother and I will be participating in two Gamestop Round 1 tournies, so we have a good chance at winning one of them.

And yes, you DO need a parent present to sign you up if you're under 18. Age limit is 13 on up. I'm assuming if you're 18 and up, you must bring a Driver's License (or some photo ID that shows you're birthdate) unless you are obviously in your 30s-40s...
